The Tumalo House

The Tumalo House is located just north of Bend and is situated between Tumalo Cider and Bend Cider. Just across the street from The Bite, the local hang out, this fully renovated 1940's farm house offers 2 bedrooms, sofa bed and 1 bath, and outdoor space with a gas fire pit. This cozy find is only steps from the Deschutes river, 30 minutes from Mt. Bachelor and minutes from Downtown Bend and The Shops at the Old Mill. No matter what brings you here, this home will make you want to stay! The space This home is brilliantly laid out, offering 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a sofa-bed in the living room. The kitchen is fully stocked and should provide you with all you need for your stay. We have a full sized washer/dryer for you to use. The bathroom has a wonderful shower but no tub. Our yard is very spacious and fully fenced with a gate. There is plenty of room for eating outside, BBQ and sitting around the gas fire pit telling stories! Guest access Although we don't have dedicated parking spots, there is plenty of parking right in front of the cottage. You should not have a problem finding a place to unload and park your vehicle for your stay. You can access all parts of Tumalo by just walking around. We highly recommend The Bite where you'll find food carts and local beer/cider/wine. Bend Cider has their tasting room right next door to The Tumalo House and Tumalo Cider is kitty corner to our lot. A market is just down the way as well as a coffee shop! ALSO, If you need a HIIT workout you can check out HIIT Logic. Just across the way from the market is Pioneer Ranch store which offers local beef, pork, farm fresh eggs and other yummy things. One of our favorite Antique shops is just around the corner and in the spring/summer there is a local vegetable stand within walking distance! Bend is only 10 minutes away (think shopping and good food) Mt. Bachelor 40 minutes Smith Rock 30 minutes Crater Lake 1 hour 45 minutes Other things to note If you plan on bringing your dog please let us know in advance so we can have our welcome box ready for your furry friend. There is an additional $85 fee for "Fido" and his friends. (2 dog max please) AND don't leave them unattended in the home or on the property please. We have a wonderful outdoor gas fire pit and welcome you to enjoy it! Please let us know in advance if you would like to use it so we can give you a tutorial… Safety first! An additional $40 fee will be charged and will allow you to have full propane tanks for your outdoor fire feature. Have fun!
