This space has everything you'll need for an extended temporary stay. Desk and office chair (not pictured) is in the little alcove off of the bedroom. All bills paid including hi-speed internet. There is a washer and dryer in the actual garage under you, which you are welcome to use with advance notice. Parking is on the street. Single occupancy only. Please note this is a single occupancy listing. Relax on the small couch with folds down into a sleeping bed, lounge in the leather and metal sling chair, chill on the deck while watching the sunset.. This little garage apartment is perfect for a max relax situation. It is on top of a garage and was once an attic- its rustic in nature and is intended to be that way. The walls and floors are all painted plywood- on purpose :) Its modern and minimal aesthetic are perfect for an open minded guest who is more on the experimental side of things than the traditional side of things.. This apartment is on top of a garage that is attached to my house. My mom lives in the main house and is always available to help if needed. You will be sharing the washer dryer with the main house.. The water heater for the upstairs apartment space is an on demand system dedicated to the garage apartment only. I may need to access the attic door which is in this apartment from time to time, but will always ask for permission first. The apartment has a brand new mini-split for air conditioning. Parking on the street which is a dead end. Im always available if anyone needs anything- I live on the property but give all the guest their space unless called upon :) Cute little neighborhood right next to historic downtown Houma. The apartment is 4 miles (12 minute drive) to Chabert Medical Center. You will need a car to get around in Houma. Public transit is unreliable. The only windows in the apartment are the entryway french doors. They let a ton of light in during the day. The sunset light is really nice. The stairs to the apartment are steep. There is one brand new mini-split unit for air conditioning. There is only room for 1 person in the apartment. Under no conditions are guests allowed to have overnight visitors without letting me know. This property has other rentals on it and there is no room for parking for visitors. There is no room for additional people on the property overnight without letting me know- it gets crowded very quickly (and quite uncomfortable for everyone) if we don't stick to this rule.
