"Dune Your Thing" - 3br/2ba - Fisherman's Paradise
"Dune Your Thing" is nestled in the shade of the trees between Mullet Pond and a road away from beach! It's 1.7 miles from Bald Point State Park and just as close to other beaches you can access. Hike, bike, fish, sunbathe, birdwatch for Eagles or just sit with a coffee while the day starts. "Dune Your Thing" is just the thing you need to enjoy all the nearby raw natural wonders in peace. Has a separate Master that connects to the main house with an outdoor gathering space for entertaining! Our place is perfect for those who want to relax and take it easy. There are windows along the entire front of the home that offer an amazing view of the wooded area. There is a gathering area under a screened in tin roof where you can gather, take showers, and set your things down after a trip to the beach! The Master Bedroom is a separate unit but is joined to the main house through that tin roofed area. Beach Access is a very walkable distance - it's right across the street - but don't drive there because there isn't parking. We've provided a Beach Cart for your convenience. Please message me Via the booking site - it works well to keep all communication in one area whenever possible This area is surrounded by nature preserves. To the North is Bald Point State Park and a Lake! The beach is just across the street where there are there are five species of sea turtles found in the Gulf and it is possible for any one of them to be seen at Alligator Point. These include the leatherback, hawksbill, green, loggerhead, and Kemp's Ridley. Sea Turtles were once common in the Gulf and thick on the beaches, but all five species are now considered endangered. Bald Point State Park is to the East. To the West at the end of Alligator Point is also a nature preserve; and of course there's the Gulf of Mexico! Many of the homes here are occupied by full-timers; so please be respectful of our neighbors. There are not any public transit options available that we are aware of. Although the area is called Alligator Point, it is named that because of the shape of the island and not because there's a ton of alligators or crocodiles. While they are not common, we still recommend that you inspect the shoreline of the bay lot before you venture close the water. However, you do need to be on the lookout for the local bears. They have established themselves in the area because of the easy access to the trash bins. It is very important that you keep the bin locked and not leave any kind of food outside, even if it's in a cooler. The fence will not hinder a curious and hungry bear if they're enticed!
