The neighborhood is very friendly. People know each other here and help each other out. From the house it is about a 3 minute walk to the big food market where you will find tropical fruits, freshly caught fish, vegetables in season, and mostly a very lively scene of Zanzibar life. A lot of nice restaurants close to the house as well, I can give you plenty of tips if you would like! From Swahili food to good falafel :)
