The space Your property Tucked away in a peaceful corner of rural Seytroux, the shepherd’s hut is a quiet and comfortable place to switch off and enjoy the mountains. The 15m² interior is bright, spacious and thoughtfully designed, with large windows and French doors bringing in plenty of natural light and opening onto the surrounding countryside and fresh mountain air. At the heart of the hut is a comfortable king-size bed with soft cotton bedding, along with built-in storage and a private en-suite shower room. Underfloor heating keeps the space warm and cosy throughout the colder months — particularly welcome after a day in the mountains. The hut has been handcrafted with a simple mix of natural materials and contemporary finishes, including furnishings made from local wood. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with a double hob, fridge-freezer and dining area, giving you everything you need for an easy, self-contained stay. From here you can spend your days skiing, hiking, cycling, swimming, horse riding or simply exploring the alpine villages, lakes and mountains of the Haute-Savoie. In the local area The hut is perfectly placed for exploring the wider Haute-Savoie, particularly in spring, summer and autumn. Lake Geneva, Évian-les-Bains, Thonon-les-Bains and Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval are all within easy reach, while the surrounding mountains offer beautiful walking and cycling routes, alpine lakes, swimming, watersports and plenty of opportunities to explore traditional villages and the surrounding countryside. Morzine is around 15 minutes away and Les Gets around 20 minutes, making it easy to enjoy their restaurants, shops, cafés and activities without needing to stay in the busier resort centres. In winter, Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets also give you access to the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest interconnected ski areas in the Alps. The hut is in a peaceful rural location, so a car is essential for getting around. There is no local public transport serving the property. Geneva Airport is also within easy reach, making the hut a convenient base for discovering this beautiful part of the French Alps. Guest access The shepherd’s hut has its own private road access and sits down a dead-end quiet lane. It is completely private and not overlooked, giving you a peaceful, secluded place to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. Other things to note During peak weeks (Christmas, New Year and February Holidays) the minimum rental is 1 week. But please always message to check, as there could be flexiblity.
