“Our Family Guest House”

“Rustic luxury” - spacious and cozy guest house up north with 2 bedrooms and one full bath. The main room has a kitchenette, dining room and office. The living room has books and a smart TV. King in master with Roku TV, two sets of bunk beds in 2nd bedroom. Our guesthouse is designed to be friendly to large or small families, couples or groups traveling together, or just one couple. Quiet neighborhood; big parties, bachelorette parties, etc. are not allowed. The space The guesthouse sleeps 6 comfortably. Enjoy the convenience of being 6 miles from Lake Michigan but going back to a secluded, quiet spot to sleep. The Guest House is approximately 21 minutes from Flintfields and the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, 6 miles from downtown Traverse City and the Cherry Festival, and 9 miles from the Leelanau Peninsula for wine tours. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea from the Keurig or electric tea kettle using the tea, coffee and cream we provide. In the kitchenette you’ll find a mini fridge, a microwave, a two-burner stove, a toaster, a Keurig, an electric tea kettle, K-cup pods, cream & sugar, tea bags, olive oil, grill utensils, silverware, plates, bowls, cups, wine glasses, wine opener, lighter for the grill, bug spray, and other kitchen amenities you may need. There is an attached dining room with a table that seats 6 plus a small bar with barstools. The large living room has three couches, a TV with Roku, and a piano. There are two patio areas - one in the back with a small table and two chairs and a propane grill for your use, and a side patio with a larger patio table and chairs, for relaxing and watching the sunset through the trees. The office area has cupboards with extra linens as well as board games and toys. In the bathroom there is a stall shower along with the toilet and sink - we provide linens and toiletries for your stay. Extra toiletries are in the drawers in bathroom. Please message us with any questions you have about the space. Guest access Guests must be quiet and respectful. A fun family night is fine; a loud party until 2am is not. This is a quiet neighborhood and sound travels far. Bonfire pit belongs to the neighbors and is off-limits. Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. Guests in the summer are welcome to play soccer, etc. in the boarded area in the yard (which is an ice rink in winter). Other things to note Please, no cats or dogs. Owner has severe allergies to both. The walls of the bedrooms do not go all the way up to ceiling, so putting babies/kids to sleep could be an issue, as well as privacy in general. Owner provides fans to help with this. This is our extended family space that we use quite regularly, so please take care of it as if it were your own!
