Secluded Chalet in the Woods - Sleeps 8

Relax with the whole family or with friends at this peaceful place to stay. It's a spacious, private home nestled in the woods overlooking a large pond. You get the feeling of being up north with the convenience of being 5 minutes from the heart of Harrison. Close to Leota ORV Trailhead, Snowsnake Ski & Golf, Rocks and Valleys Off-Road Park, and Duggan's Canoe Livery. Also, there are 20 lakes within 20 minutes! This updated chalet offers 3 bedrooms, and 2 full baths and sleeps 7-8 people. The space The chalet is private and secluded. There's plenty of room to roam indoors and outside. The home boasts a greatroom with floor to celing windows to take advantage of the large pond and wooded views. It has an additional loft that overlooks the greatroom and has a separate seating area, balcony, large tv, a single futon, and blow-up mattress for additional guests. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The primary bedroom has a king bed and is on the main floor. The other downtair's bedroom has a full bed and single futon. The third bedroom is upstairs and has a full bed. Each bedroom has a tv with Roku or FireTv. The Wi-fi is fast, too! Both bathrooms have showers/tub and are on the main floor. Outdoors, you 'll have access to a large fire pit for those late night gatherings and a horseshoe pit for daytime fun. There is a charcoal grill for cooking bbq on the expansive wrap around deck that has ample seating for both dining and relaxing and a gas fire pit. Bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. The driveway can accommodate multiple cars with trailers carrying your seasonal toys. This is a great place for friends and family to gather. It's roomy, quiet, and private. There are also Ring cameras outside for your added security. There are no cameras in the home. One of the best things about the location is that it is centrally located from other destination cities up north like Houghton Lake, Traverse City, West Branch, Mt Pleasant, and Grand Rapids making it an alternate and affordable option. You can either explore places in Harrison or take a day trip to Birch Run Premium Outlets, Dow Gardens, or Mackinac Island. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house except the attic and garage. There is a spacious wrap around porch and front porch to take in the views. (Please do not let children access the balcany off the loft). Kick back on the ample seating outdoors and take in the view of the large pond. Also, you can relax by the firepit in the backyard or take in a friendly game of horseshoes. Other things to note We only allow dogs. There is a $50 pet fee and a limit of 2 dogs including service dogs. A $50 fee will be charged separately for the 2nd dog. Your dogs must be fully housebroken and pee or poop outside. No pee pads or the like are allowed indoors. You must pick up and dispose of all your pet's waste. We don't allow dogs on the furniture or beds. You must also crate your dogs when they are left unattended. Early check-ins or late check-outs can be arranged for an additional fee ranging from $25 to $50. This must be set up in advance due to our short turnover time. Anyone who does not fully check out by 2 pm, will be charged for another day's stay. If we have guest's arriving on the same day, all guests must leave at 11 am unless they get prior permission from the host. Guest may not check in early unless they get permission from the host. If you check in early without asking, you will automatically be charged $25, plus $25 for each hour before 11 am. No parties or large gatherings are allowed. You must notify the host in advance if you plan on having visitors. Only guests on the booking can spend the night or stay for an extended period of time. No mail or packages can be delivered to the house. Food deliveries are fine. Lost or misplaced keys will be charged $100. We have to replace the keyless entry lock, not just the key. We only give a key to our guests for unusual circumstances. You will be given a unique code prior to your check in. No smoking of any kind is allowed in the home. You must smoke at least 6 feet from any doorway or window. You will be fined $300 for smoking in the home. Do not move or relocate any of the household furniture or bring in any furniture of your own. We have hardwood floors and do not want the floors or walls damaged. Do not wear your shoes on the carpeted areas, especially during winter months or wet seasons. Absolutely no alterations or repairs can be made to the structure or the property without first consulting the host and getting their permission. Failure to do so will result in a termination of your stay without a refund. You may not hang or attach banners or balloons to the walls, ceiling, cabinets, or furnishings. Do not tamper with the refrigerator panel, Wi-fi router, modem, Roku devices, tvs, Echo, or Ring cameras. The Echo does not have a camera activated. It is for voice commands only. The Ring cameras are required by our insurance carrier and are located outside. If you unplug any of these devices or change their settings, your stay will be terminated without a refund. Do not charge movies unless it is directly billed to your account(s). You may use your own logins to sign in to tv aps if they are not already accessible. Hunters are welcome to stay, but no guns/rifles are allowed to be kept inside the home. Please leave them in your vehicle. No gutting deer, fish, or animals is permitted anywhere on the property. Just be mindful during your stay that this is a short-term rental and families with children and pets will occupy the home after you leave. It could pose a safety issue if your firearms were hidden and left behind or their dog got a hold of decaying animal parts or bones. We have a charcoal BBQ grill. Do not move the grill. Please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Make sure you clean the grill after each use and put the cover back on the grill. Firewood is to be used sparingly. It has to last until winter for other guests to enjoy. Plus, a large fire and it's ashes can spread easily and get out of control real fast. Feel free to use as much kindling as you want to start and keep your fire going. There are utensils to roast marshmallows or hot dogs in the closet next to the kitchen. Just wash them and put them back. Please make sure not to leave the firepit lit and unattended. Use the garden hose to put out the fire/embers.
