Hayfield Cabin 2, a place to get away from it all!

Just a few miles south of Fort Laramie, the Hayfield cabins are located on a 300 acre working ranch with private access to the Laramie River. If you like to fish or just enjoy nature it is a .4 mile walk to the river. We are located 2.5 miles west of Fort Laramie Natl. Park. In proximity to several historic sites, museums and recreational lakes. Just a day trip to visit Mt. Rushmore & Crazy Horse. This is a remote location and 4wheel drive may be necessary during extreme weather conditions. The space This is a cozy 544 sq feet of comfort, seclusion, and views. Although we might be small we provide the essentials. A variety of cooking options. Microwave, airfryer, countertop induction cooktop with dual burner, toaster, coffee maker, hot water kettle & propane BBQ. Meal prep staples such as oils, seasonings, flour, sugar and a few other basics are provided. Look us up on IG @hayfieldcabins Guest access A map is located in the guest binder that outlines the property boundaries. Guests are allowed to fish along the river bank or take long walks. There are two cabins located on the hayfield so families or friends that enjoy vacationing together can do so. There is more than plenty of space for parking. Other things to note This comfortable retreat is perfect for a couple or a small family. There is a queen bed on the main level and 2 twin floor mattresses' in the loft area. It would be up to the parent to determine if they feel their child could conduct themselves in a manner to maintain safety while sleeping in the loft. During the winter months 4 wheel drive may be neessary to access the property. If you enjoy hunting there are BLM areas nearby where our hunters have been successful with mule & white tail deer, antelope, elk, pheasant and wild turkey. We recommend that you bring groceries before your arrival. If you are traveling from the west there are grocery stores in Wheatland and Guernsey. If traveling from the east, Torrington has 2 grocery stores. There is a small convenience store in Fort Laramie and The Fort(family friendly bar & grill) sells packaged liquor.
