Jyoti Niwas is located in the picturesque Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh. The home-stay consists of three bedrooms, a living room, dining room and a out-house kitchen. When people rent out the house, not only do they get to stay in a heritage house (built in the 1920's), they can even enjoy the large open lawns to themselves! There is a large front porch, where guests can simply look into the greenery, hear bird songs and essentially forget about there hectic city lives for a while. Guests have the option of using the kitchen to prepare their own meals or opt to have someone prepare their meals (on prior notice). Either way, we ensure only the freshest vegetables and produce for their meals, some of which are taken from our own garden. During your stay Depends on the guests. I am available when needed. Other things to note How to get there: 1. Fly to Dharamsala (Gaggal Airport) Jyoti Niwas is located 40 km from the airport (A little above an hour). 2. Drive from Delhi The drive takes approximately 9 hrs. Drive via Chandigarh - Ropar - Anangpur Saheb - Una - Chintpurni - Kangra - Palampur - Homestay (located in Al-hilal, 5 km before Baijnath) 3. Overnight Train to Pathankot - Drive to Jyoti Niwas Take overnight train to Pathankot. Then drive approximately 85 km to home-stay. Should take you about 3 hrs.
