The first floor has an open-plan with a full kitchen with new appliances, a primary dining area, a comfortable living area, and a cozy nook perfect for reading, entertaining, or dining. The original exposed beams and brick work throughout the first floor provide a connection to the home's long history, while modern upgrades provide the comfort and connectivity needed to enjoy a long stay. The second floor has two spacious bedrooms, each with a queen bed, multiple windows overlooking Rondout Creek, and dedicated heating and cooling units. The bathroom is accessible via the hallway and the primary bedroom and contains a vintage claw foot tub with shower. The Abeel House is located next to Rondout Creek and at the base of the Wilbur Bridge. The bridge does still see regular freight train traffic, providing a periodic reminder of Kingston's importance as a transportation hub in early America.
