The Red House part of Bhala Ho(happiness for all!)

The Red House is a beautifully furnished 1 bedroom holiday cottage located in Raithal village in the Uttarakhand. Perched at an elevation of 2250 meters amidst the lush greenery, Raithal village is popular among seasoned trekkers as it's the base camp to Dayara Bugyal. The cottage offers an absolutely breath-taking views of the Himalayan ranges, green meadows and biodiversity (as you can clearly make out from the pictures).The guests need to climb up a hill for 400 m from village centre. The space There’s a saying: ‘A picture paints a thousand words’ and The Red House does justice to it. The cottage is beautifully furnished with red walls and equipped with beamed ceiling, double bed, chairs and a table. The guest will be in one of the two bedrooms in the cottage. The kitchenette is part of the bedroom, and is well equipped with the basic cooking and cleaning facilities. There is a modern bathroom which is also equipped with geyser and other toilet accessories. We also provide Wi-Fi facility. We also serve purely vegetarian meals three times a day. Guests may make a contribution for food at the end of their stay based on their intention. (If you wish to taste the local and authentic food, you’re most welcome!) There is a functional pocket Wi-Fi inside the hut however, the speed varies between 15 to 40 Mbps. Jio , Airtel and Vodafone mobile networks are functional in the region. You need to be mindful that being in the highest Himalayan ranges, changes in weather could Impact on various things which is beyond human control (and can be witnessed here easily). The cottage is in the midst of greenery and guests would need to climb up a hill of 400 meters. that may take up to 10 to 15 mins. Please reserve only if you are comfortable with this. The place is in midst of nature and hence provides boundary-less environment for guests. Guests are welcome to check-in early and stay late if the hut is available. Any arrangement for stay of accompanying driver can be made at an additional cost. Guest access Ideally situated for those looking to stay longer or wishing to enjoy the tranquility of the suburbs. Located near Dayara Bugyal (base camp for Dayara Bugyal, 38kms from main Utterkashi city), The Red Cottage is a self-catering holiday accommodation which is perfect for a holiday at any time of year. The location is perfect for meditation and also to learn about the local culture and village life. The village is connected by a motorable road and daily busses from major cities of Uttarakhand are available to the town. During your stay We will be making your stay happy and comfortable. Parking for your own vehicle can be done at the village Square and is also the place for walking up to the hut. Does it allow zoom and teams calls? Ans- The wifi speed varies between 15 to 40 mbps. You may ascertain whether functionalities work on such bandwidth please. The Airtel Network is best in our area. As long as the mobile towers are operational, the network is good here. Ques- I will be travelling from Dehradun/Rishikesh. Can you let me the most convenient way to reach your place? Ans- The most convenient way is a direct cab from Dehradun/Rishikesh to our village. We may refer someone who has brought guests in the past for the cab. Ques- what are the food arrangements? Ans- We serve vegetarian meals three times a day. You may make a voluntary donation for food at the end of your stay. Ques- Please let me know if this room has attached western toilet? Ans- Yes room has an attached western toilet with all toilet accessories provided. Ques- If there’s anything we need to know before coming or prepare. We’ll only bring a small bag and back packs so walking will not be an issue. Ans- Please do bring winter-wear as night temperatures are near Zero to -15 at the moment. We are at the highest region in Himalayas and things can be unpredictable at times; changes in weather and consequent Impact on various things is beyond human control. Ans- Yes, the hut has geyser in the attached washroom Ques- Is there a private bathroom for the hut? Ans- Yes, the washroom private and attached with the hut Ques- Is there a heating system in the room that is that is sufficient for a guy who has mostly found 20*C cold : Ans-We do give heaters in room to be used by the guests.
