The East Wing is a luxurious & spacious apartment. Located in a quiet court in West Wodonga, Victoria. With two bedrooms, full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, living room, and secluded garden surrounded by stunning views of the surrounding hills. Ideal for couples, or business travelers who want to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable stay in a modern and stylish setting. Close to Wodonga & Albury. The space All the photos in the listing were taken by me, on a phone, I am far from a professional photographer, so there are no surprises. Please let us know as early as possible if you have more than 1 vehicle or are travelling with a trailer so we can try to accommodate. Additional parking onsite is NOT guaranteed, and street parking is very limited as we are located in a small quiet court. The Master bedroom features a feather top King bed with the second bedroom offering a firmer mattress on a Queen bed. The Master bedroom has a TV, so you can relax and watch your shows in the luxurious King bed. Relax in the comfortable chair with rug in the gorgeous bay window where you can read your book or just refocus looking out at the garden area. The large living area gives you plenty of space to spread out and feel right at home. The oversized TV has a firestick so you can log in to your favourite streaming service or use the free Netflix account set up as guest. You also have a desk with wireless printer so you can complete your work while watching TV or looking at the sumptuous garden. The base of the desk lamp is a charging station for your phone. The full kitchen provides you with all the facilities of home with a full sized fridge, new electric stove, dishwasher and all the basics of your average kitchen. The pantry stocks some basics which vary with new items used and left by guests all the time. We try to provide some fresh milk for you on arrival so you can settle with a nice cup of tea or coffee to refresh after your travels. We supply coffee, tea, sugar and a few coffee pods for the coffee machine. The bathroom includes both a good sized soaking tub and a walk in shower, basic toiletries are supplied. If you have forgotten anything just ask, we do keep some reserves but may not have everything you need. The East Wing has it's own central heating and air conditioning units, so you have full control of the temperature. All you need to do is set the unit and relax. New ducted heating and instant hot water service were installed in 2023. The heating control unit is fixed to the wall near the air return in the living/dining area. During warmer months the air conditioning controller is on the kitchen bench. Please remember, if you are using the air conditioner some windows in the unit need to be open just a little, they lock into place for security. The living area cupboard is filled with extra blankets, games, cards, indoor and outdoor games and some reading material. We ask you to leave the magazines in tact please but feel free to take a book with you if you start reading during your stay and want to finish it up. Likewise, if you finish a book while you are with us please leave it for the next guest. There is an external light near the entrance to the Apartment, the switch can be found to the right of the external door. Please use this if you are venturing out in the evening to assist on your return. We have placed solar lights along the pathway to assist with this. You are welcome to wander around and make use of the many seating areas throughout the garden. We are in a regional area so you will see a large variety of bird life, we have a regular echidna who visits, a couple of blue tongue lizards, and sometimes we have snakes travel across the property during the warmer months, they don't stay long and we strongly recommend that you avoid close contact. Please let us know if you see any during your stay so we can be mindful and alert the neighbours who occasionally mind some little people. These are rare visitors and not at all the norm. We also have a couple of large blue tongue lizards who appear near the driveway and front of the house, just let them go about their business. At the start of winter we have fruit bats in the giant gum near the door to the bnb, you can hear them and see them at dusk and later, they are adorable. There are a number of seating areas around the property and we encourage you to sit and relax in any of them. Please be aware that the large gum tree on the neighbouring property does occasionally drop a limb with little warning so best not to set up there. We do not accept pets or children (under 12) because the property is not set up for this. Please do not arrive with undeclared additional guests or pets as you will be turned away. Guest access Guests have private access to the Apartment, and are invited to enjoy the extensive gardens during your stay. We normally try to meet you on arrival, if this is not possible we will send really easy to follow instructions to ensure your arrival runs smoothly. A private covered pergola with chairs and table are hidden in the garden on the boundary of the property, you can sit and enjoy the area, read or catch up on work in complete privacy. The large yard offers a variety of wildlife including many varieties of bird and the resident echidna who comes and goes, and a couple of large blue tongue lizards. There are a number of seating options around the property which you are free to make use of to sit, relax and gather your thoughts. Car parking for one vehicle is provided on the property. There is very limited street parking. Please let us know if you are travelling with more than one car or an oversized vehicle and we will try to accommodate your needs. We can deal with most situations as long as we know in advance. We do not provide vehicle charging facilities, these can be found behind the Wodonga Council offices. Other things to note We have attempted to cater to all our guest needs. If there is something you need during your stay that you can't seem to find, just let us know and we will try to accommodate if at all possible. (One of the benefits of having hosts onsite not a few hours away.) Please do not burn candles as they pose too great a fire risk. Our house rules are simple: No children, No Pets, No Parties, No additional guests. Treat our home with respect and we will have no problems at all. We are happy to recommend the following local eateries: Miss Amelie - Modern European restaurant by Chef/Owner Isaac Rich. This hatted restaurant is one of the highlights of the region. Don't miss the Lemon Souffle. Little Miss is the attached Cocktail Bar where we highly recommend the Gin Garden Cocktail, they are all good though. La Maison - Another of the treasures of the region, situated on the banks of Wodonga Creek. Always great quality food and service. Open fire for the colder months and outdoor areas for most of the year when the weather here is perfect. The Club House Bar and Bistro - Golf Club (around the corner) Good quality pub style meal, bookings necessary. The Church Street Hotel - pick of the actual pub meals, great cocktails and always great service. Lee Corner - Chinese - good for eat in or take away, reservations recommended. If you are in a rush, they have a great selection available ready to go from the bain-marie. BYO Okami - Japanese - Highly recommend the all you can eat share banquet. The Vietnamese Guy in High Street near Junction Square, garlic free Bahn Mi and great take out. Burger Urge in High Street, amazing burgers and awesome onion rings. If you're after coffee in the morning head to see Andrew at the House of Richard van at the tennis courts on Lawrence Street, you'll probably see me there in my little red car. The Bean Station do a great breakfast and lunch menu, located in the center of the town behind Junction Square on the old train platform. Licensed. *All these restaurants are able to deal with my garlic allergy so they should be able to deal with any special requirements or allergies you might have.
