You’ll be charmed by this adorable historic home. Verona is at the head of the largest bay in Maine, Penobscot Bay. With 3 acres on the east branch of the Penobscot River you can walk down to the rivers edge and relax in the hammock chair while gazing at the loons , heron, kingfishers, osprey , eagles cormorants and seals fishing in the river or just sit on the porch and enjoy the peace and quiet of rural Maine. We have Sweet Cheeks Bakery and lobsters right off the boat in season on island. The space There are 3 small rooms upstairs. One room has a double bed, one has 2 twin beds and the last room has a queen size bed. Guest access The bathroom is downstairs. I have my quarters downstairs. You are welcome to share the kitchen and dining room. I will stay out of your way if you like or will socialize as you wish! Other things to note The stairs are a little steep, not terribly. The stair treads are small and if you are taller that 5'3" you will have to duck once, partway up the stairs. I have two dogs. They are very friendly.
