The space Mulberry Cottage has been thoughtfully designed to offer both comfort and style, making it the perfect retreat in the heart of the Cotswolds. On the ground floor, you'll find a cosy sitting room complete with a welcoming fireplace and TV—ideal for relaxing evenings in. The well-equipped kitchen includes everything you need for your stay, alongside a compact utility room and a contemporary bathroom with a walk-in shower. Due to the cottage’s charming size, there isn’t space for a full dining table. However, with a wealth of excellent restaurants, pubs, and cafés just a short walk away, dining out is a real pleasure. For a more relaxed option, a quaint bistro set for two awaits in the garden—perfect for morning coffee or an alfresco bite. Upstairs, you’ll find two beautifully appointed double bedrooms, each with hanging space for your belongings. The master bedroom features a luxurious rolltop bathtub—an indulgent way to unwind after a day exploring the scenic Cotswold Way or meandering through the historic streets of Painswick. Best of all, Mulberry Cottage is dog-friendly, so your four-legged friend is warmly welcome to join in the countryside adventure. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire cottage and garden. We have one parking space available on the driveway. Other things to note We’re delighted to have you and your furry friends—dogs are very welcome, though we kindly ask that they stay off the sofas and beds. Alternatively, please feel free to make use of our dog blankets and towels which can be found in the utility room. We have one parking space available on our driveway. We kindly ask that you do not park on the grass, as it kills it. Free parking is also available in the village car park (Stamages), and we’d appreciate it if you could keep the road clear of vehicles to consider our neighbours. Speaking of neighbours, please respect their privacy and keep noise levels low after 10pm. Inside, you won’t find live TV, but we’ve got Netflix and other on-demand channels ready for you to enjoy. To make your stay extra cosy during the cooler months (October to March), we provide enough firewood for your first night’s fire—a little warm welcome from us! Since we can’t offer an endless supply, feel free to pick up more from nearby shops if needed; most local spots stock it year-round. (From April to September, firewood isn’t provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own.) From April to September, when the days are longer and warmer, we don’t provide firewood as part of your stay. If you’d still love a fire during these months, feel free to bring your own or pick some up locally—those same shops have you covered year-round.
