Quirky Musician's Studio Flat in lovely location
Description
I'm opening my little creative oasis for visitors, while I am spending time away from home. The bright and cosy space is on the first floor of a characterful old building, across the road from Sefton Park and surrounded by trees, offering a comfortable stay. I have quite a collection of musical instruments, some more precious than others - if you want to play any of them please just ask me first. PLEASE READ THE FULL PROPERTY DESCRIPTIONS AND NOTES BEFORE REQUESTING TO BOOK, AND KINDLY CONFIRM. The space It is an old property so don't expect "luxury". I am sharing Wi-Fi with the neighbour, and I can watch movies and do video calls, including some online piano lessons and it usually works fine. If it cuts out, I find that disconnecting and reconnecting to the Wi-Fi network does the trick. The old sash windows are heavy and not easy to open. I made DIY double glazing and you’ll get a video on how to open the bedroom window. Please only open the window on the right side. Brand new gas central heating has just been installed, with the pipes currently not housed yet, but this is just a minor aesthetic aspect and poses no safety issues. Please note that the shower adapter in the bathtub allows for sit down shower only. There is no ventilation in the bathroom so after taking a bath/shower it is important to open the window to avoid excessive moisture build up, thanks. The bed can be turned into a sofa (quite hard to do, you’ll get instructions in your arrival guide) if you need more space, and there are dining chairs stored inside the foldout dining table. The kitchenette is only suitable for making small meals, with light and extractor fan switch inside the book shelf. Make sure to use the extractor fan while cooking to avoid moisture build up in the room. Please avoid excessive frying and boiling. The gas hobs and grill work by lighting with the lighter provided, the oven is only storage. The TV is only being used as an external screen, no antenna or streaming but with an adapter to connect your computer or phone if you need. My plants are all minimal maintenance and need very little water. In fact they all like to dry up periodically, so watering is only necessary if you are staying for longer. In summer time they need a bit of water every week, depending on temperature, and in winter maybe every three to four weeks. I only really water them when they start looking unhappy and the soil is all dried up. My flat is a safe space for LGBTQ+ guests. Guest access Guests can use the whole unit with a dedicated wardrobe. I keep many personal belongings in my flat but made space for guests to spread out and enjoy a comfortable stay. The kitchenette is only suitable for making small meals, please avoid excessive frying and boiling. If you’re staying longer please keep the place clean, there is a hoover in the entrance cupboard, and other cleaning utensils are also available in the flat. The hoover is small so needs to be emptied and filter cleaned after every use or it stops working. Cleaning the hoover filter is best done outdoors 🤓 Other things to note Strictly no smoking No parties No events No visitors No excessive noise at night time No music making before 12noon and after 11pm (acoustic music only) Always lock bottom lock of flat door when leaving If anything breaks, please notify me as soon as possible Please put things back where you found them after use, I like keeping my little order ;) Guests are to clean their dishes properly and put them back into their places before leaving please. Do not leave ANY food items behind, please take everything you didn’t finish with you, or bin it and take out any rubbish before you leave. Do not change any settings on the boiler or heating control panel. Thank you for caring!
