Description
This loft in the heart of Northport is bright, airy and open. Upstairs from a cafe, it's an easy walk to the beach/park, grocery store, shops and the village's bars and restaurants. Pop downstairs for breakfast, head next door for a cocktail and dinner, or cook your own - the kitchen is stocked with basic cookware if you'd rather stay in. This comfortable space is a great home-base for your Leelanau adventures, and a lovely spot to unwind. We look forward to meeting you! The space The upstairs apartment is an open, loft-style space, furnished with a comfortable blend of vintage and modern. It is well-suited for a couple or family. It can comfortably sleep 6 people, as long as you don't mind sharing a bedroom. The front bedroom has a full size bed and a twin daybed and the back bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed with a private 3/4 bathroom. A small third bedroom is outfitted with a twin bed. The well-appointed kitchen has a gas stove/convection oven, dishwasher and full-size fridge and is stocked with basic cookware and essentials for those who would rather cook at home. The open living area is set up for relaxing and chatting, with a large-screen smart tv, electric piano, books and games. Located right downtown, it's an easy walk to the beach, and there is public parking with EV charging right next door. Please note: This is a vibrant neighborhood with several bars and restaurants. It can be noisy especially in the summer. It is also a second-floor entrance, accessed from a private stairway. There is no elevator. Guest access You have the run of the entire apartment. There is no outdoor space included in the rental, but Northport has a beautiful nearby (4 blocks away) public beach and park. Other things to note The central location provides easy access to the village bayfront park and beach (playground & swim area that's shallow and protected - great for the little ones!) as well as the supermarket, farmer's market (Fridays in the summer), souvenir/gift shops and bars and restaurants. Before you book, you should know: We are located above a cafe and next door to a bar/restaurant. Pros - breakfast, lunch, dinner & drinks are easily sorted and quite convenient. Cons - it can be noisy at night, especially in the summer. The restaurant next door is open late and has live music on Fridays and sometimes Saturdays in the summer. The cafe downstairs opens at 7 a.m. In the quieter seasons, it's a quieter getaway.
