Welcome to the Cottage on Rock Lake! Located on the shore of serene Rock Lake and just minutes away from charming downtown Lake Mills, the Lake House is the perfect spot to unwind and relax. Swim, paddle, lounge, and end the day with a backyard BBQ. ***PLEASE READ ALL LISTING DESCRIPTIONS, POLICIES, AND RULES PRIOR TO BOOKING*** The space Take advantage of the lakefront location and spend your days outside! Go for a swim in the lake, lounge on the lawn, and launch your kayaks or paddle boards from the private pier. Cottage on Rock Lake features a grassy lawn, a patio, and a grill for outdoor cooking. Inside, the open concept home features a master bedroom and a second sunroom bedroom with a beautiful lake view, separated from the living room with a curtain room divider. A foldaway mattress provides additional flexibility for sleeping arrangements. Each bedroom and the living room is equipped with a Roku Streaming Stick for you to log in and access your streaming services. The kitchen is equipped with dinnerware, utensils, pots and pans, a Keurig with K-Cup pods, and some spices for cooking. There is a washer and dryer and dishwasher available. There is one full bathroom with shower and one powder room. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house and property except for a few locked areas where the owner stores personal belongings (the basement and boathouse). You are welcome to tie up kayaks to the pier. Larger boats should be tied up on a temporary loading/unloading basis only, as the lake can get very choppy and wavy, especially on the weekends. Please exercise caution when tying up to avoid damage to the pier or your boat. There is not a boat lift available for guest use. If you want to bring your boat, there is a boat launch down the block. Beach towels, grilling tools, and some games are available for use. ***PLEASE NOTE: Weather permitting, the pier/dock will be installed on or around May 1st and removed for the year on or around October 1st*** The fire pit and patio furniture will be put away for the winter prior to the first snowfall. There is a one car garage and the driveway can accommodate about four cars depending on size. Street parking is not allowed per Town of Lake Mills ordinance. Four to five cars is more than sufficient for our maximum of six guests. ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES OR GATHERINGS. DO NOT PARK ON THE LAWN. Any damages/repairs to the grass will be charged accordingly. Other things to note Located less than one hour from both Milwaukee and Madison and just over two hours from Chicago, the lake house is the perfect hassle-free getaway. Rock Lake is a recreational lake with fishing and rentable boats, jet-skis and kayaks. The Cottage on Rock Lake is located in the Shorewood Hills neighborhood of Lake Mills - an established neighborhood where some of our neighbors have lived for generations and come to relax. We kindly ask that you are respectful of the neighbors and avoid disruptive behavior including parties and events and playing excessively loud music. Please exercise caution if you decide to utilize the pier and lake frontage as there are steps which can be slippery. As always, make water safety a priority during your stay and take all sensible precautions. Your hosts may briefly be on site for miscellaneous work or deliveries but will communicate in advance and will not disrupt your stay.
