Travel 6 miles into Ithaca by car or public bus, for a gorge-ous walk, shop the famous Commons, wander the Greater Ithaca Arts Trail. And adventure along the glorious Cayuga Lake. Plenty of sights to see, or stay in your quite cozy spot, with a book sipping a hot beverage powered by solar The space One room efficiency with a full bathroom, large shower and complete kitchen. Relax on the European style Nico Queen Sleeper Sofa. A pull out flip up table/desk sits 2 to 4 for meals. The double insulated walls, and triple glass windows bring a quiet comfort, light filled, modern feel to the space. Guest access Turning off of Rt 79 (Slaterville Road) towards the Airbnb, turn right around the pond, down the hill, solar panels will be on your left. As you come towards the pole barn, turn left up the incline driveway and you'll see the shed roof house in front of you. Your studio is the west facing door. The north facing door is the host home entryway. Park the car in the single driveway spot in front of the west doorway (faces the pole barn). Sometimes the driveway entrance off rt79 is hard to see at night, or doesn't show on all map software. Please call if you need directions. Other things to note You'll be staying in a newly built two unit dwelling where the Airbnb shares a wall with the hosts home built to Passive House Standards. If you've ever shared a wall with another dwelling some sound between the wall is inevitable, even when insulated to the best standards. Please be mindful that you are sharing a wall. If there is ever an issue please notify the host and we'll do our best to meet your needs. WELL WATER: For those who haven't experienced rural well water, the quality can vary. Our well water is very clean and delicious. Unfortunately there can sometimes be a slight sulphur odor coming from the tap, including shower and toilet. This is completely normal and safe. If you are sensitive to odors, or think this might offend you in some way, please don't book with us as we may not be able to give a refund.
