Private Entrance Bed & Bath Farm-Stowe & Smugglers

Feel comfortable and at peace in our cozy yet light filled guest room with it’s own private entrance and spacious bathroom. It is well appointed with antiques, a hand carved queen bed and a big collection of eclectic books that we encourage our guests to go home with. No TV, but Internet speed is fast and wandering the farm and woods or enjoying an interesting book are great alternatives. See Other Details to Note section. The space Enjoy forest bathing or mushroom foraging in our large wooded areas or maybe help on the farm. We grow saffron and specialty cut flowers Our 2 dogs, Rocky and Charleston live with us upstairs. Guest access We are on a short dirt road but you do not need a four wheel drive car to get around and enjoy the countryside. The closest town with grocery stores, hospital and theatre is a 10 minute drive. We are close to being equidistant to either Smugglers Notch Ski Area and Stowe Resort. The village of Stowe is a 20 minute picturesque drive. Check-in anytime after 5pm. You don't need to see us upon arrival but will make arrangements with you ahead of time to access the room. If you need to arrive earlier, that may be possible, just ask. Other things to note Store your travel food in the small refrigerator and reheat your leftovers in the microwave, but as the room is on the small side, there is no room for a table and chairs for dining. There is 1 straight back chair and a bedside tray table. Start your day off with Starbucks VIA instant coffee (it’s great!) or a cup of tea you can make with the electric kettle. We have a small supply of instant coffee, selection of teas, sugar and creamers for your convenience. The farm is within 30 minutes of the highest peak in Vermont, Mount Mansfield a.k.a. Stowe and several other mountains, such as Smugglers Notch, Madonna and Sterling. The mountains are great for skiing, boarding and other winter sports and the rest of the year for hiking or biking. Green River Reservoir, Elmore Pond and Lamoille River are quick drives for kayaking, stand up paddle boarding or canoeing. There are three local breweries within 10 minutes plus Alchemist is only 30 minutes away on the way to Stowe Mountain Resort.
