Outdoors Step outside and the vines stretch in every direction. Evenings are best spent watching the valley soften as the sun slips behind the hills — glass of Shiraz in hand. You’ll have full access to the house and its surrounding vineyard setting — four bedrooms, generous living spaces, outdoor entertaining areas and those uninterrupted valley views included. It’s private, peaceful and entirely self-contained. Guests are welcome to wander the vineyard perimeter and enjoy the landscape; however, the vines themselves are working and delicately maintained, so we kindly ask that you admire them from the edges rather than walk between the rows. Please note that due to an unfenced dam located near the house, the retreat is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Other things to note Altamira Retreat is a working vineyard. While wonderfully peaceful, you may occasionally notice seasonal vineyard activity — part of the rhythm of wine country living. The property is set on elevated rural land, offering expansive views and beautiful sunsets. As with most countryside settings, local wildlife and insects are part of the landscape (and part of the charm). Due to an unfenced dam close to the house, the retreat is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. The fireplace is available for use during the cooler months. Firewood is supplied seasonally. Mobile reception can vary depending on your provider; however, Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. This is a place designed for relaxation and connection rather than celebrations or events.
