Description

This cottage is spacious, light filled and attached to a horse barn. Brand sparkling freshly renovated -new flooring, stone counters, brand new stainless steel appliances and fresh paint. You and your dog will enjoy the private patio and fenced in yard -doggie door for easy come and go. Pasture and shelter for two self-care horses avail. Arena and miles of horse trails. Super quiet horse country location yet minutes to downtown Southern Pines, 16 min to Pinehurst and 11 mi to the Horse Park. The space You will feel relaxed on our farm - it's very peaceful here, being a mile down a dirt road (with lovely horse farms on either side as you approach) - so no road noise or annoying traffic going by. The cottage living space has wall to wall windows making it bright and airy with good views of the farm. Of course new blinds are there for you if you wish. Guest access The cottage is attached to the horse barn (you may hear an occasional whinny at feeding time ;-)). You enter through the landscaped patio complete with soft seating, party lights, fire pit and gas BBQ grill - this area as well as the entire yard is dog fenced. Other things to note The Twin beds can be converted to a King per your request. Please let us know at time of booking which you prefer. The cottage has a Smart TV - you are welcome to login to any of your streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, etc) - we do not provide traditional cable TV. Please remember to log out upon departure. The cottage is on a working horse farm - so we do want to keep safety top of mind. For that reason, please do not enter the barn (unless using laundry) or pastures. You are welcome to pet the horses over the fence but please keep in mind they are large animals with teeth that can mistake your fingers for food. If you choose to feed them, the responsibility is yours. If you have a dog that is unfamiliar or not good with horses or other dogs, please keep leashed unless inside your fenced yard. Please take the responsibility of keeping your dog from barking excessively, please do your best to keep them off the furniture and clean up after them. We have an active farm dog: “Randy” (Belgian Malinois) who will bark at first but who is actually very, very friendly and loves other dogs. Add to that 2 "Pittihuahuas" who are shy at first, but like to join in eventually. Our dogs run freely on the farm. We have 2 barn cats as well. All of our animals are friendly, however please note that by booking time with us, you agree that we way will not be held responsible for any injuries or untoward events related to any of the farm animals. The chicken coop near our property is actually the on neighbors property - please respect their privacy and don’t go over to it. I know the chickens are cute, but they are not ours! Lastly, we live near Fort Liberty and from time to time you may hear some random booms - not to worry you are just hearing Fort liberty practicing. TRASH: If you need to empty the trash - please use the green dumpster. PET FEES: $50 per dog per week or any fraction of a week for up to 3 dogs. If your stay is longer than a week, the additional per fee will be charged accordingly via the resolution center. HORSE FEES: Per horse - $25 per night, $100 per week or $300 per month. All self care. Horses accommodations are a pasture with shelter and water trough.
