Homewood Forests Retreat is a unique log cabin experience nestled in a private forest surrounded by the beautiful Central Otago countryside. Homewood guests are able to enjoy mountain views, explore world renowned cycle trails and vineyards, relax in the spa pool under the spectacular night sky, romantic picnics in the pines and so much more. Only 5 min to Alexandra and the Otago Rail Trail, 10 min to Clyde and an hour from all the attractions of Queenstown, Wanaka and the ski fields. The space Fairytale Log Cabin at Homewood Forest Retreat is more than a comfortable place to stay it’s a truly unique experience to create lasting memories. Spanning over two levels this one of a kind home is full of charm and intrigue. Downstairs consists of a large open plan kitchen and dining area, a sunken lounge with an open fireplace and large cathedral style windows to enjoy the beautiful views of the pine trees and snow capped mountains. There are 2 bedrooms with a Jake and Jill shared bathroom and a super king master bedroom with en-suite as well as a separate toilet off the living area. Upstairs has a loft bedroom (king bed) and a large open plan TV area with two double beds. The house sleeps up to 8 people. However the property has another two cabins should you require additional accommodation for a larger group of up to 14 people. See our other listings under my profile for more information on our other two cabins. Should you wish to have the entire property all to yourselves this can be arranged. Guest access The entire main house and its immediate surroundings. There is also a hot tub/spa pool which guests are welcome to use. Should you wish to book the entire property this can be arranged for an additional fee. We also have 3 E-bikes, 1 regular mountain bike, golf clubs and fishing rods for hire. Other things to note Please note that there is no bathroom upstairs and guests staying upstairs would need to access the downstairs bathrooms as per the listing description above. We do not allow parties or any loud noise after 10pm. Please review the house rules before requesting to book. We have a medium sized very well behaved friendly dog and a shy cat who you may see in the garden during ur stay. However, they are usually always with us and travel with us when we go away.
