The house is located 0.5 mile from Cold Spring's Main Street and a mile or so from the Metro North train station, close to Beacon and West Point. With indoor and outdoor fireplaces, well stocked kitchen and pool, this 4 bedroom home truly is the perfect gateway to the Hudson Valley! There is so much to do in the area- art museums, epic hikes and vistas, and historical sites. Welcome and enjoy! The space The house is located 0.5 mile from Cold Spring's Main Street (14+ min walk) and a mile or so from the Metro North train station (25+ min walk). This walk includes an uphill portion and on the road with no sidewalk, so it is best to drive or arrange for a ride. The house is next to Boscobel (3 min drive), close to Beacon (15 min drive) and not far from West Point (25 min drive). While the house is close to town, it is on a private lane. Offering the best of convenience and privacy. There is ample free parking on the property, including an electric vehicle charger. The house has 4 bedrooms- 3 with queen beds, 1 with a twin bed. The house comfortably sleeps 7 in 4 beds but can accommodate more depending on the group (additional sleep arrangements can include airbed, futon, toddler bed, and sleeping mats, upon request). The kitchen is fully equipped. There are two dining areas that seat 4. There are two living rooms- a main living room with a fireplace, and a cozy family room with a TV, and record player. Off the family room is a playroom that has its own TV, DVDs, comfy couch, books and toys that will keep the little ones happy and entertained. Central heat and AC throughout the entire home. Outdoors, there is a patio area with an outdoor fireplace and seating, dining area, and a grill. During the summer months, the pool is open for guests to use. The pool is not heated so it can be a bit chilly in June and later in the summer. We are surrounded by natural beauty, including West Point Foundry Brook and Waterfall and Constitution Marsh a Audubon New York Important Bird Area, New York State Bird Conservation Area, and Significant Coastal Fish and Wildlife Habitat. Notes: - Summer 2026: Pool will be open early Jun to Sept 7. Pool is not heated. - 5 day minimum for summer stays. Signing a pool waiver is required to get access to the pool. - The deck off the kitchen is temporarily closed for repairs but there is plenty of space for outside dining in the patio areas in the back of the house. - Reach out if you have any questions for your booking.
