The Stone Cottage: Close to skiing & hiking

In the 1700s Queen Anne of the Netherlands gifted a parcel of land to her Dutch subjects, the Schoonemakers. The family built a stone cottage, from which they cultivated acres of orchards in the Hudson Valley. Today, you can stay in this 275-year old stone cottage and enjoy its modern kitchen, European bath, wide-plank pine floors and sun lit bedrooms. Half a mile away, you'll find Falling Waters preserve with hiking trails through the woods and down to the Hudson River. The space This three-bedroom, two-bath house sits on approximately two acres on the edge of the village of Saugerties. The house boasts a full eat-in kitchen with new stainless steel appliances an island for entertaining. The living room will have plenty of room for conversations or a snug movie night. Two identical, sun-drenched bedrooms have queen-sized beds with luxurious linens, sky lights and windows looking out onto a lush garden. The primary bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed and a work space with a 32" monitor that allows you to extend your trip and work from the property with ease. A full four-piece European bath is on the upper floor and a half bath is located in the entertaining space on the main floor. Guest access You'll have full access to the house, the fire pit and the woods behind the property. Other things to note The town of Saugerties does not allow parties to be held in any AirBNB. If a party is reported to the town by a neighbor, you will be fined by the municipality and asked to vacate the property immediately. Fireplaces are decorative only.
