Each room includes a smart TV so you can login to your favorite apps, hangers, and luggage rack. Our kitchen comes completely equipped with everything needed to cook for your family and friends. We have a wood-burning stove while you sit around and enjoy your beverage of choice. Children: We have plastic plates and cups so kids can use and you don't have to worry about breakage. The house comes with a pack-n-play so you don't have to pack one yourself. Additionally we have games and puzzles for all ages of children. Outdoors: We have a front and back deck to enjoy the woods or mountain views. In addition, relax in the hot tub or sit by the propane fire pit. Attractions: Within minutes of the home *Access to National Forest, Montgomery Reservoir, Lincoln Falls, Ice Climbing, skiing, snowboarding, and some of the best snow-shoeing and 4-wheeling in Colorado * Breckenridge - ski, snowboard, snowmobile, fish, boat, golf - 35 minutes * Keystone - ski, snowboard, fishing, raft the Arkansas River - 50 minutes * Copper - ski, snowboard - 50 minutes * Buena Vista - hot springs, raft the Arkansas river, fishing - 50 minutes * Salida - fishing, hiking, jeep trails, rafting - 60 minutes * Denver - shopping, theaters, sports, amusements parks -2 hours * Cripple Creek - gold mining, gambling - 90 minutes * Canon City - Royal Gorge - 90 minutes * Manitou Springs - Cave of the Winds, Pikes Peak - 90 minutes Many of well known attractions are just a short day trip away from the home including Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Vail and many more. Guests will receive door code through Airbnb messaging 1 day prior to arrival. We are available for questions through AirBnB messenger and by phone/text. The neighborhood is a rural setting and located in Pike National Forest and near Mt. Sherman. This is a quiet neighborhood. Fairplay is a historic mining town and a stopping point for skiers, fisherman/women and hikers. AWD or 4WD in the winter is highly recommended. We plow the driveway and county roads if able, but snow conditions may vary on highway roads and can be dangerous. Please review road conditions at COTRIP. Please remember that you're staying in a home, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, I will do my bests to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on-site 24/7. *WINTER INFO & 4WD/AWD We DO REQUIRE 4-wheel drive in the winter months, due to the snow accumulation in the area. The county roads are maintained and plowed along with the driveway. We have a reliable plow service but plowing isn’t immediate. *Elevation and Dry Weather* Fairplay, Colorado sits around 10,000 feet. Foxtail Cabin is a bit higher than that. If you aren't used to this elevation, please plan to drink lots of water. You will notice your skin may dry out easily. Please bring skin moisturizer to make the stay more comfortable.
