I'm available for questions through AirBnB and can provide recommendations to make sure you have a great stay! The neighborhood is a rural setting and located in Pike National Forest and near Mt. Sherman. This is a quiet neighborhood. Fairplay is a historic mining town and a stopping point for skiers, fisherman/women and hikers. AWD or 4WD in the winter is highly recommended. We plow the driveway and county roads if able, but snow conditions may vary on highway roads and can be dangerous. Please review road conditions at COTRIP. -A $75 pet fee/pet/stay applies and will be collected separate from the booking. No CATS allowed due to allergies. -We are on a septic system so please do NOT flush anything other than human waste and toilet paper. -WINTER INFO & 4WD/AWD We DO REQUIRE 4-wheel drive in the winter months, due to the snow accumulation in the area. The county roads are maintained and plowed along with the driveway. We have a reliable plow service but plowing isn’t immediate. -Elevation and Dry Weather* Fairplay, Colorado sits around 10,000 feet. Foxtail Cabin is a bit higher than that. If you aren't used to this elevation, please plan to drink lots of water. You will notice your skin may dry out easily. Please bring skin moisturizer to make the stay more comfortable.
