Ravenwood Cottage - A Secluded Hill Country B&B

Our one bedroom, two-story, secluded cottage in the woods is located 9.5 miles west of Fredericksburg, Texas. There is a Texas-size porch to relax on with your morning coffee and plenty of bird watching to enjoy. The cottage has one bath downstairs, a living area, and an eating area, along with a kitchen that offers a coffee bar with refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. There is also a gas grill available to use. The space We live on 2 1/2 acres just an easy 10 minute drive from Fredericksburg. There are many walking paths planted with Texas natives and a new butterfly garden that we hope will mature over time. We enjoy a variety of song birds and especially love seeing the Painted Buntings who nest here April through August and raise their young. There is also an assortment of wild animals and we often comment that you never know what you’ll see on any given day!! Guest access You are welcome to explore our property - you’ll find some benches along the path placed there for your enjoyment. We are always happy to meet and chat with you if our paths cross on your walk!! Other things to note Because we want you to be able to enjoy a slow start to your stay we provide a “starter breakfast” that can include a mini homemade loaf of banana or pumpkin bread, local bakery sausage kolaches, homemade granola, and yogurt! Please see our note under “Getting around” below if you plan to be with us and drive a big truck!
