Little River Cottage on the Little River In Townsend the "Peaceful Side of the Smokies" This nonsmoking cozy cottage has a large screened porch over looking the Little River and direct river access to our guest. Our cottage is perfect for 4 adults and 2 children.The cottage is completely renovated , all new appliances, and mattresses. The Little River Cottage is located beside the Historical Blount Swinging Bridge . Enjoy the large back yard and sit around the fire pit in the evenings . The cottage can host up to 6 people which includes 4 adults and 2 children and is perfect for a small family or couple . 3 BRs 1 king bed ,1 queen bed and 1 bunkbed, wifi, large family room with a smart TV, 1 bath, gas fireplace, fire pit, laundry room, fully stocked kitchen ,double oven , and a large back yard. The Little River Cottage is located beside the Historical Blount Swinging Bridge and across the street from Lamar Alexander Parkway that leads to one of entrances into the Smoky Mountain National Park. This nonsmoking , no pet cozy cottage nestled on the Little River is the perfect place to relax on the screened porch or sit by the river bank and watch your children play. A newly renovated pedestrian bridge is .25 mile away. This bridge leads to the bike trail to the entrance of the Smoky Mountain National Park. There's a number of other activities available for tourist in Townsend .. Fishing, hiking, tubing down the Little River, biking , kayaking ,Wild Laurel Golf course is 3 miles away, and horse back riding stables . Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is a 20 minute drive away and offers family friendly thrills at Dollywood and Splash Country . Tanger Outlet Mall has shopping for all ages. Maryville is nearby and offers a nice change of pace with it's small city atmosphere .The town has less traffic and offers several shops , restaurants for you to explore. Of course let's not forget the charming town of Townsend with natural beauty that surrounds with the gateway to Cades Cove in the National Park. The coffee shops , craft stores, and local markets are less than a mile away. Guest access entire cottage /large yard /pool membership and fitness center at Wild Laurel formally known as Laurel Valley Resort.Please read update below (3miles from cottage) PLEASE NOTE UPDATE :New and effective as of of March 9, 2026 Wild Laurel Pool is now charging a "resort fee" of $15 per adult & $10 per child each day. Even though we pay 1,000 yearly for Little River Cottage membership fee . This is the first year Wild Laurel Golf Resort& Pool has ever charged a 'Resort Fee" .for our guest . Other things to note You can stream movies on your mobile devices while sitting on the river bank . We also have an Amazon echo dot for guest .
