“Boudaglen” is a beautiful 5 bedroom bungalow style country farmhouse near the town of Pekina, located on Ngadjuri Country. An easy drive from Adelaide, the setting is perfect for a weekend getaway for two families or a group of friends. There is plenty of space to unwind & relax be it indoors or outside. The house is situated on a working sheep and cropping property and is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Upper North. There is ample space to park large vehicles and heavy machinery. The space Pack up the car and the children and head to this beautiful part of SA, be it for adventure or relaxation. At “Boudaglen” there is plenty of space to kick a footy or play a game of cricket. You may prefer to simply sit on the front verandah and umpire while enjoying the beautiful surrounds. There are 5 comfortable bedrooms set up sleeping 10 people in the bedding provided. You will never tire of the view out the large picture windows overlooking the “The Hogshead” range and a large dam complete with ducks. A sunroom at the back of the house with is a great space for the children to claim. At the back of the house there is a large undercover BBQ/patio area with outdoor seating for 10 people. Outdoor camp fires are only permitted 1st April-31st Oct in line with SA Fire Danger Season and not allowed on days with a High, Extreme or Catastrophic Fire rating outside this period. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and yard. We welcome contractor groups as there is plenty of room both inside and out. The farmyard has plenty of open area for parking trucks/machinery/caravans etc. Other things to note Please note: While we don't have Wi-Fi available we do have a Telstra booster ensuring great Telstra service within and around the house. Optus customers may struggle with service. Visitors are often surprised at how cold it gets up here in winter. We encourage you to pack your warmest clothes and PJ’s. We provide a generous wheelbarrow full of wood upon arrival and the lounge fire will be set ready to light. Additional loads of wood can be requested for $25/load. There is a large fully fenced dam on this property. The house is situated a few hundred meters back from the bitumen road to Orroroo. The newly reopened & renovated Tarcowie Hotel is a 10min drive from the property and definitely worth a visit. Open 7 days/week offering light meals Mon-Wed and a-la-carte lunch and dinner Thur-Sun. Sunday roast a specialty.
