Things to do in Smålandsstenar and the surrounding area There are two nice bathing lakes with sandy beaches 3 km from your holiday home. They are called Borlången and Söingen. Here there are boats for rent according to the owner. If you want to fish, there is a river called Österån that runs for 1 km from the cabin. You live 8 km from Smålandsstenar. There are several restaurants and a café called Göstas here. You live in the municipality of Gislaved and are close to Store Mosse National Park if you like nature and hiking. Isaberg - Southern Sweden's largest ski resort is only 35 km from the cottage. Here in Hestra you can also hike and play golf. There is an adventure park with toboggan run, mountain bike and adventure golf. There is also the Höganloft restaurant here and Hestraviken is in the immediate area. If you want to make an excursion with the children, the Western city of High Chaparal is about the same distance from the cabin. Värnamo is 42 km away if you want some shopping and culture, visit Vandalorum which is an art and design centre. Gekås in Ullared is 50 km from the cottage. If you want to experience sea bathing one day, Varberg is only a 1 ½ hour drive away. Liseberg in Gothenburg or Jönköping and Gränna/Visingsö are other excursion destinations with the same distance.
