Our home is a perfect balance between get-out and veg-out. → Trails, brewery, restaurants, bakery, library, and playgrounds within 0.5-mile walk → Fully equipped kitchen → One king bed, one queen bed, and two twin beds → Two desks for remote work → Roku TV The space Bring your family and make this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home your base camp for your next Columbia River Gorge adventure trip. You’ll love coming back here to rest on the porch in the peaceful backyard just a short walk from downtown White Salmon, WA. You’ll love the cozy couch and RokuTV for streaming any of your platforms. You'll have a queen bed in the master bedroom, king bed in the bright and fun "kid's" room with a lofted twin bed bunk overhead, and a twin bed in the office. This is our primary residence home, which we love to offer travelers while we travel ourselves. You will find well-loved, character-infused items here - not a bare, sterile, and empty rental home. Dogs are accepted with an additional $25/day fee. You’ll find a kitchen with everything you could hope for (we love to cook) to prepare a feast or a packed lunch. We’ll provide morning beverages as well as cooking essentials (oils, spices). →Traveling with young kids? You’ve found the perfect place. You’ll find kid’s books and toys to keep the little ones happy. They’ll love the backyard swing set and appreciate the high chair and toddler tower in the kitchen for meal times. → Get Ready to Feel at Home This is our primary home and we are excited to share it while we travel. We’ll give you our favorite local tips and secret spots. Of course, White Salmon is known for Everybody’s Brewing, White Salmon Baking Co, North Shore Coffee Shop, or Pizza Leona’s to fuel your playtime. Don't miss Cool Beans ice cream or happy hour at Goose & Gander either. → Nearby Adventuring Exploring out the back door is why we love living in White Salmon, WA (the smaller and less crowded sister town to Hood River, OR). Run or hike on miles and miles of trails out the front door near Jewett Creek. Head up the White Salmon River for a day of whitewater rafting and one of the nation’s best whitewater rivers (it is why we moved here). Take your bikes on trails, or the paved Hood River waterfront path to watch kite boarders and windsurfers during the summer. The options are endless. → Local Food Stock up at the local grocery store, hit up the Saturday Farmer’s Market down the street from the house, or visit one of White Salmon’s finest breweries, restaurants, or cafes. While the town is small, we have the cream of the crop for dining in the Gorge. Hood River also features countless classic breweries also with award-winning food and beverages, mountain views, and great service. → Family Ready We know finding kid-friendly homes can be tough, which is why we are excited to make this place so easy for parents. You’ll find a high chair, toddler tower, kid’s art table, shelves of books and toys to keep the littles happy and busy. While not completely child-proofed, you will find it easier to entertain the kiddos here. You’ll also find a pack-n-play ready for the extra little ones. You’ll find several playgrounds a short walk away, and a great library for kids to explore. A small creek runs through town and makes for a perfect natural playground for kids. The local bike park and pump track will entertain bigger kids too. Guest access You'll have access to the whole house! Some closets will be locked with our personal belongings. Other things to note This is our personal home and we ask that you treat it with extra love and care. There is a $25 fee (per dog) to have a dog here to cover extra cleaning.
