The Pod in Athenree is an ideal base for 1 or 2 people. One Queen bed. Central to Athenree. A 2-5 minute walk for a variety of activities; swimming, fishing, kayaking/boating, biking, tennis, hot pools + playgrounds. Kayaking in the Estuary is tidal. 5 minute drive to Waihi Beach / Bowentown, or you can walk across the estuary at low tide. 10 minute drive to Waihi & Katikati. The studio-styled Pod isn’t a huge space - but it is handy as a base for your holiday. Enjoy our brand new Queen bed! The space It is small and self-contained with one Queen bed, a kitchenette (microwave, fridge/freezer), and ensuite shower/toilet. Private, peaceful setting in a central location. Guest access Off street parking, approximately a 20 metre walk to the Pod (located privately at rear of property). Other things to note Tennis rackets and kayaks are available on request. Kayaking - Please note - Kayaking in the Estuary is tidal. Life jackets are available for use. Transporting the kayak - our co-host Bill may be available to transport the kayak for you. Alternatively, it is your responsibility to transport/carry it down to the water and back (5 minute walk each way). Use of the Kayaks is at your own risk.
