Cosy Somerdale room with en-suite

Within a 10 minute walk from Keynsham railway station our home is a 9 minute train ride to either Bath Spa Train Station or 6 minutes to Bristol Temple Meads, so you can have a great bolt hole for working or visiting either of these 2 fantastic cities. Explore The Jane Austen Museum, The Roman baths, Bath Forum, Bristol Hippodrome, The Royal Crescent... The Chocolate Quarter has a Spa for a small extra charge with pool, gym, sauna and jacuzzi. There are also amazing nature walks and great pubs. The space This is a 4 bedroom detached house on a quiet avenue in Somerdale, Keynsham with very easy access to Bath and Bristol. Myself and my husband live here and have good local knowledge which we will enjoy sharing depending on what information you would feel was interesting. We have 3 spare double rooms, one is en-suite and the other 2 share the family bathroom which is exclusive to guests. Just enquire if you’d like to book more than one room and we will let you know availability. We sometimes offer added value chargeable services like meals on request and where our time allows. There’s a utility room with washing machine for guest’s use and we have a clothes line outside for drying clothes on sunny days as well as a clothes “horse” which guests can use on the patio or the utility room or family bathroom if the weather is too wet. Guest access You’ll have your own bedroom with en-suite and in request we can arrange a desk space for one person to work whilst kindly co-operating with us, the hosts. You’ll be able to enjoy the garden, the patio and walks out into the hams. There is a utility room with a microwave, toasted sandwich maker and a slow cooker as well as some plates and cutlery and a sink, you are welcome to use it all. There are 2 other double bedrooms which share a family bathroom which can be booked on request. During your stay Katie works as a Welcome Ambassador in Bath, and in her business life runs a relocation company for executives who arrive from overseas so we are able to give lots of help to overseas visitors and local travellers alike. We have lived in Asia recently and enjoy meeting people who travel to share cultural heritage. Dan is a keen sportsman, an educator, tutor and has been a Headteacher in the UK for many years. We are happy to keep ourselves to ourselves, but will also be happy to share information on the delights of our area, Bath, Bristol, the neighbourhood, nature, sports, food, theatre and culture. Other things to note We enjoy hosting, we do it to be able to offer extra local knowledge of the historical and cultural area in which we live, but we will only share if people are interested, otherwise we will leave people to their own devices. We give total respect and privacy to our guests and expect the same in return. We are both well travelled professionals with children who have flown the nest. We do look forward to hosting people who are here to visit relatives, friends, and tourist spots. We are not a place to come to "work from home", as the house can feel a bit like an office if people do that which is not the vibe we are going for !
