Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. When family/friends are not staying with us, we are opening up this wonderful space to travellers. Designed for those we love, so we know you will love it too. The space - Enjoy unlimited, free, super high-speed wifi with speeds up to 2Gbps (2,000 Mbps). This is well suited for work activities, as it can comfortably handle video calls and video streaming. It's an ideal setup for working from home or for getaway trips. - Enjoy a restful sleep in a clean and comfortable queen size bed in a spacious basement bedroom, featuring a high-quality mattress, sheets, and pillows. Many of our past guests have been so impressed that they've inquired about the brands we use! - Beautiful outdoor saltwater pool, deck, and backyard. - Full kitchen such as refrigerator, microwave, stove, cooktop, air fryer, kettle, etc. - Free 2 parking spots in the left of the driveway (on the side of the electric pole). And lots of free parking spots on the street. - Free laundry. - The HVAC system is in the basement utility room. During the hot and cold seasons, the A/C and heater run automatically. Your comfort will be our priority, so please do not hesitate to ask us to turn it off/on or adjust the temperature. - In addition to the Central Heating, we also provide an electric heater (Presto HeatDish Plus parabolic electric heater). It feels three times warmer than 1,500 watt heaters, and will feel the heat directly and instantly. Focus heat where it's needed most... on you! Moreover, extra blanket and slippers will keep you warm during the winter. - The bedroom is small and accurately depicted in the photos. - There are 2 shared bathrooms: one on the main floor and one freshly renovated bathroom in the basement. - Separate entrance with a keypad lock with quick and easy self check-in process. - Quiet and secure neighborhood on a cul-de-sac with hiking trail nearby. Surrounded by walking paths, 4 parks, and mature trees. - Steps away from The Queensway and Royal York Road intersection - just west of Downtown Toronto. Close to local transit (TTC bus & GO train), several great restaurants and grocery stores: - 2 minutes walk to the bus stop. TTC bus 76 south goes to the Lakeshore, and north goes to Royal York station; TTC bus 15 south goes to Sherway Gardens Mall. - 8 minutes walk to Berry Road Park / Hiking Trail; 10-12 minutes to other 3 parks: Queensway Park, Jeff Healey Park, and Reid Manor Park. - 4 minutes drive (or 24 minutes walk) to Mimico GO train station. From there you can go west to Niagara Falls or go east to downtown Toronto. - 6-9 minutes drive to Humber Bay Park / Lake Ontario - 10-16 minutes drive to/from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) - 12-16 minutes drive to/from CN Tower (downtown Toronto) - 8-10 minutes drive to Toronto Humber Yacht Club, Etobicoke Yacht Club, or Mimico Cruising Club. - 1.7km walk to Park Lawn Outdoor Pool. - 8 minutes drive from our place to Islington Golf Club. Guest access - PRIVATE BEDROOM - ALL OTHER SPACES (SUCH AS KITCHEN, BATHROOM, DINING AREA, SWIMMING POOL, DECK, ETC.) ARE SHARED There is a separate entrance on the left side of the house, which can be accessed through the side gate. A unique key code will be provided to you on the day of check-in. Check in instructions will be provided through the app. If you would like to park your car, please let us know ahead of time. There are 2 free parking spots on the left side of the driveway (on the side of the electric pole) available on a first-come, first-served basis, as well as plenty of free parking spots on the street. During your stay Depending on my guests, I like BOTH socializing with guests OR giving my guests space (but I am available to help when needed). I am available for questions by phone, text, and email anytime, with very quick responses. Other things to note Amenities nearby within walking distance: - No Frills grocery store - Costco (membership required) - Great Lakes Brewery - Cineplex movie theatre - Sanremo Bakery - Tom's Dairy Freeze - Several great restaurants to choose from! Highlights accessible by transit: - Lakeshore waterfront parks - Humber river trails - High Park - Sherway Gardens shopping mall - Toronto Humber Yacht Club, Etobicoke Yacht Club, and Mimico Cruising Club - Park Lawn Outdoor Pool - Islington Golf Club Nearby transit: - TTC bus 76 south goes to the Lakeshore, and north goes to Royal York station - TTC bus 15 south goes to Sherway Gardens Mall - Mimico GO train station is just a 4 minutes drive (or 24 minutes walk) from here. You can go one stop east to Exhibition GO, where you will find Exhibition Place, BMO Field, Queen Elizabeth Theatre, etc. It is also walking distance to King West/Liberty Village, West Queen West, and Parkdale/Roncesvalles neighbourhoods. Two stops east will take you to Union station in downtown Toronto. You can also go west along the Lakeshore West Line in the direction of Hamilton, and go further to Niagara Falls. Additional rules: - Non registered guests are not allowed to access the premises. - Please report any damages immediately. - No visitors (family relatives or friends need to advise the host in advance). - No smoking in the property, including (but not limited to): cigarettes, tobacco, cigars, pipes, cigarillos, cannabis, marijuana, weed, vapes, any controlled substance, etc… - Upon booking, guests declare they are travelling or vacationing and have another permanent home. Other notes: - We kindly inform you that, in addition to your private bedroom, there are four other bedrooms in the property that may also be occupied by other guests. As a result, the common spaces, including two bathrooms (one on the main floor and one in the basement), kitchen, dining area, living area, etc., will be shared among all guests. - In the event that one bathroom is occupied, you may use the other bathroom. - As part of our commitment to maintaining a peaceful and respectful environment, we kindly request that all guests observe the quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. We also remind all guests to respect these quiet hours. Please be aware that outside of quiet hours, there may be normal noise such as showering or kitchen activity, etc. - We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a pleasant and professional experience for all guests during your stay.
