This adorable, well appointed, historic cottage (an old Tannery building), is nestled within a 50 acre Connecticut River Valley Broad Leaf Tobacco Farm which dates back to the 1700s. The open fields allow for peaceful walks and beautiful views. "The Tannery," is just 15 minutes from Hart/Spring Bradley (BDL) Intern airport. Less than two-hours to Boston and just under three-hours to New York City. Come to unwind and explore New England’s finest. Guest access This has become an issue which needs mentioning. We ask that you only bring family or long term friends to visit you while staying at our property/home. Past guests have become friendly enough with strangers they have met at bars or events and have invited them to come for fire pit or dinner, even over night. All of this is discouraged, this is our home and we don't know these people. As Airbnb guest you've been verified, the strangers have not. Please respect this request to avoid any awkward situations. Other things to note It is important to consider the SPIRAL STAIRCASE in a bit more detail prior to booking, it is very difficult to carry anything up the stairs your luggage is not meant to be taken up to the bedroom loft which is why we've established a luggage area near the bathroom on the main floor with bench and closet. Dogs struggle with stairs as well. if you have any back, knee or hip issues or if you're a bit extra in height or weight you may also have trouble with the stairs. words like narrow, steep describe it well. not recommended for elderly either.
