“Goshawk Lodge” Self Contained Mountain-top cabin

Goshawk Lodge & its mountain top location offers fabulous panoramic views & direct access into Cwmcarn Forest. With numerous biking trails & walking tracks, its great for active people, but also for those who want to "chill". Home to a rare pair of Northern Goshawks, you may well spot them during your visit. With stunning sunsets & clear night skies you're sure to get some great photos! Located near Cardiff & not far from the Brecon Beacons or National Heritage Coastline there is plenty to do The space Goshawk Lodge is a very cosy, spacious and well equipped cabin with a Double Bed and heated blanket, wood burning fire, modern kitchen, shower room & toilet, most comfortable reclining sofa and modern 42 inch TV with decent quality broadband. There is also a dining table (and 4 chairs) that could be used by those people who need to do a little work in a quiet and relaxing environment. Outside the main entrance there is also a covered area with settee and multi-gym, where you can "work-out" or just relax enjoying the fabulous location. The lodge has widespread decking, with table, chairs and "loungers", and it has a dedicated BBQ and fire pit area (with plenty of wood provided) ....and amazing views. In the winter you can relax & cuddle up watching TV in front of the cosy wood-burner, whereas in summer you can enjoy the outside area, having a BBQ or sitting in front of the firepit at night with a bottle of wine enjoying the great sunsets and later on the clear starlit skies! As you can imagine Welsh water doesn’t quite reach us "Exploring folks" (in common with many other mountain locations), so we have installed a water harvesting system, using filtered and UV treated rain water - this is tested and is of a high quality for all normal uses, - we also provide plenty of bottles of Welsh Mineral water , "the fountain of eternal youth".. to drink Guest access The whole of this Gorgeous Log cabin, is yours for your stay. You have a bbq garden, with fire pit. And a massive decking area with lounging chairs and wine table looking out over the Mountain’s and acres of lush Forestry. Very much a hidden Gem.. Other things to note The views up here are fantastic; there are so many walks and different things to see and do. Fire pit and bbq ready to go.
