The space Our space is located in a residential neighborhood in Santa Monica near the Venice border walking distance to the beach. The energy of the space has helped many people balance and heal. We have taken our home and made a sanctuary for someone to come and enjoy. There is a private fenced world-class collectionTillandsia (Airplant) walk which funnels to your separate entrance. There are 4 steps to climb that lead to the unit and 4 more to your fenced, outdoor area with a fountain and a tropicalish, lush, pond. This outdoor space get used the most! The unit is designed for "tiny home" living. Carefully placed furniture makes the space flows from an entrance/dining/kitchen/living area/laundry area to a bedroom with a door. We live in the main house above you, as required by the city of Santa Monica, but your space is quite private. But our bedroom floors are your ceiling so you will hear us. Think NYC apartment living: footsteps, muffled sounds of dogs being played with and scolded, faint but excellent music). And we are early risers. If that does not sound okay, we are NOT your place! Please do NOT book. If you are an early riser(s) and don't mind family home noise AND you want to have your private oasis away from the bustle of Los Angeles, come stay! The bed is a double/full-sized mattress. For comparison, a Queen bed is 6" wider and 5" longer than our bed. The convertible chairs in the living room will accommodate taller people. We strive for a 5 star review from every guest, so please read the details. Guest access You will have your own space with a separate, gated, fenced section of the yard. Your area has been separated from the main house by a wooden fence that leads to a path to the street. You will have everything you need for your short-term stay in the unit (including a washer and dryer). We have our three dogs on-site, so we request you please do not unlock/open the gates in your yard which open onto our main yard and kitchen. Someone is home almost full time (one retiree and one work from home), so contact is pretty easy via text or email. If you need immediate attention, exit to the street and come to the front door. Other things to note *Note, we are located at the top of a fairly steep hill. If you have mobility issues, getting in and out of a car on the street slope can be difficult, so if you have special needs we'll make a space for you in the flat driveway. PLEASE NOTE street cleaning is on Thursday on our side of the street and Wednesday on the other side of the street from 08:00 am to 10 a.m.. Make a note of the time because tickets are expensive! The neighbors will often call but no guarantee. Generally parking is easy at the top of the hill and a space is available on the street near the walkway to your space. Registration Details 243723
