The Tractor Shed@Montville Country Escape

Our old Tractor Shed has been reborn as a tranquil holiday retreat. An airy, open-plan space with a private outdoor bath and a stunning view. Nestled in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, it is a short drive to the artisan village of Montville, with the stunning Kondallila National Park and hinterland wedding venues nearby. The beach is also only half an hour away. However, settle back and enjoy the views and a complementary gin tasting at Twelve and a Half Acres distillery on our property. The space The Tractor Shed was once our farm's pineapple packing and tractor shed. It has had an extensive renovation and is now a beautiful, light bright stylish space. The upstairs is open plan with gorgeous cathedral ceilings and lots of glass to let the outdoors in. The kitchen is full size with gas cooktop and oven, you can find all your basic cooking essentials and utensils in the pantry. The beautiful 3 metre red gum slab acts as the dining table and is the centre piece of the room. The living area has a large couch and smart television, nestled next to the log burner providing heat in winter. The reverse cycle air-conditioning will keep you comfortable all year long. Leading off the kitchen is a deck with views to Mount Coolum that can be enjoyed from the outdoor dining setting. Don't forget the BBQ for cooking up your breakfast favourites! Firewood for the cozy fireplace is available, along with some kindling to get you started. You can buy more locally or find plenty on the property. The fireplace may have a small bed of ash in the firebox to help start your fire. Downstairs is where you will find two large bedrooms, with built-in wardrobes. Both bedrooms have queen-sized beds and luxurious linen for your perfect holiday rest. They are bright and airy with privacy and block out blinds if you need a sleep in! Both have standalone fans each side of the bed. The bathroom is in easy access of both bedrooms. The large laundry and mudroom contain all you need - a full sized washing machine, dryer and ironing board and a clothes airer. On the downstairs patio, you can relax with a glass of wine and in winter gather round a fire in the outdoor chiminea. Please mind that you have to take the lid of the outside chiminea to get it working propperly. Andy has also opened Twelve and a Half Acres Distillery on the property where you can taste a range of handcrafted boutique gin if the schedule allows. Guest access The Tractor Shed is set on 12.5 acres of land and guests are free to wander. The property is steep, and it does house two other dwellings. One of which is also an Airbnb so please be respectful of neighbours:-) Other things to note Please note this is NOT a party house or venue - if that is what you want then please book elsewhere. What we pride ourselves on is providing a peaceful, tranquil getaway for you to soak up the surrounding nature. Please do not Instant book if you wish to bring a pet - pets are by discretion and generally only small non-shedding dogs are allowed. Please send an enquiry with details of the dog/pet you wish to bring. An extra fee of $75 is requested for your pet, as a cleaning fee. Please also note the additional cost per night/per guest of $50 for additional guests above 2. If you book for two gues,ts only one room will be availab,le and towels for two will be left for you. If you do need both rooms, there will be an additional cost per booking of $50 to cover the additional cleaning costs.
