The 1876 mansion if full of modern amenities and historic charm. Enjoy original light fixtures, intricate custom woodworking, 15 large spacious rooms, and two full baths - plus a first floor master suite. Each room has 12’+ ceilings, original floors and doors (even some glass mercury knobs!), and beautiful views of the backyard courtyard or sprawling Mount Bethel Cemetery across the street. The home has plenty of rooms (5 bedrooms, Dining Room, Living Room, Kitchen, craft room, study, sitting room, family/game room) to spread out and enjoy your own space! Use the large laundry room with folding tables, W&D, Ironing board and space for wedding gowns or quick wash between sports events! The third floor features a large craft room and private workspace/study (with an extra HD monitor) in case you need to get some work done…. plus a secret room! Enjoy a walkout balcony overlooking the back patio, water fountain, and yard from the 2nd floor game room and lounge. Across the street is the famous Mount Bethel Cemetery with walking paths which dates to 1730! It’s a very nice and quiet part of town - with a CVS just a few steps away for any quick grab essentials you left behind! FREE off-street parking is available at DISCOVER COLUMBIA MARKED spots (5 of them) just 4 doors down (50 yds west of the front door) at the CVS Parking Lot. FREE on-street parking is available across the street on the side of the street bordering the Mount Bethel Cemetery - directly across from the front door of the home. All guests must use the offstreet parking overnight, but may use the curbside to load or unload items. There is a bus stop three blocks west that travels into Lancaster city. The property is one block from local parks, across the street from the historic 1730 cemetery with walking paths, and two blocks from restaurants, antique shops, coffee shops and downtown attraction. It is just a few blocks from the river, where you can enjoy boating, kayaking, fishing, rail trail walking and bike riding, along with miles of hiking trails along the Susquehanna River. The home is historic but beautifully restored and we’d like guests to honor the work we have done in giving you a chance to stay in such a unique piece of history.
