Recharge your batteries at our unique and quiet accommodation in Skånevik. Only two kilometers from the center you will find our beautiful pearl Solstad. No noise from traffic or neighbours, lovely little cottage with large terraces and a view straight out into three fjords. A small path next to the cabin follows you a few meters down to the wooden wharf and a small motorboat which can be rented upon request. The space This tiny cabin has three bedrooms - one is new for the 2024 season, one with a bunk bed and one with a double bed, and a new tiny loft with two small double beds placed in open sleep alcoves! Even though we have beds for 8 people, we prefer to only rent out the cabin for more than 4 guests. This because the cabin is so small and there is only one bathroom in the cabin. The cabin is perfect for a family of 4. We have a small tiled bathroom with washing machine, sink, toilet and shower. Kitchen with combined Micro and oven, induction hob, fridge and dishwasher. A lot of dry foods and spices - feel free to use it. Spacious living room with sofa bed, TV and sound system. Outdoors, there are plenty of seating areas, even one under a small roof, here we have a heat lamp if you would like to sit outside but the Norwegian temperature is to low for you. Be aware that this cabin is beautifully placed in the nature, and that the road does not lead all the way to the front door. You have to take a small hike to get here from your car ( a small 2 min walk) on a forrest track. The roads leading you to the cabin can only be described as terrible, but we think the cabin and the place is worth the drive :) Please make sure you are fit to walk on a forrest trail in a bit rough terrain before you book :) Guest access You have the cabin, outdoor area and the wharf to yourself. If you are comfortable with driving a boat you are more than welcome to rent our Bever 460 motorboat, for an additional fee of 2000 NOK per week/stay. We keep what is most private to us in a the wardrobe in the master bedroom. You can access the boathouse, but we share this with our neighbors, so please be considerate of our lovely neighbors. The items and fishing equipment on the left side in the boathouse is ours. You can borrow this. You can rent a jacuzzi, but there will be an extra cost of NOK 2,000 per week/stay. We have to empty and clean the jacuzzi between visitors and it costs a lot to keep it warm. It takes about 40 hours to heat it, so if you are considering to borrow the jacuzzi let us know in advance. Please be aware that some weeks the jacuzzi might not be avaliable, We need a few days between the guests to be able to clean and get the jacuzzi reheated. We have SUP-boards and a inflateble kayak you can borrow, and just outside the cabin there is a nice little island that we usually jump and dive from. We also have one child-bike and one adult-bike you are free to borrow. There are a lot of board games, cards some books (mainly in Norwegian) in the cabin for you to use. During winter season be aware that you might not get to use the boat, it will be available for rent , but the weather is very unpredictable so you have to consider the safety before going out with the boat. Some of the outdoor furniture will not be available either due to the shifting weather in the winter season :) Other things to note Take the boat to the baker in Skånevik or out fishing. Paddle along the shoreline. Take a swim in the clear and cold Norwegian fjord. Enjoy the view from the terrace, with a bonfire or barbecue. A small roof ensures that you can sit outside even on a moody western summer day. When you're not visiting our pearl, I guarantee we'll be there. So here you will find a cabin that is personal and very much used by us and our two teens. You will find traces of us, this is our second home.
