You won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind place. This 100 year old cottage has charm of the old days, beams, fire place and original features. The room and en-suite are large and charming. We provide a very warm welcome, full English breakfast, 5mins from Junction 12 on the M4. Only a short drive to Reading Station, and 20 mins train to central London. Local to the cottage is a wealth of country pubs with amazing food, roaring fires. We are close to Newbury racecourse and countryside The space Two friendly labradors live at the cottage. Some road noise at times. Guest access Bedroom, ensuite, dinning room for breakfast and garden. Lots of birds in the garden all year around. During your stay Help with direction to areas and recommendations to local pubs, walks and shopping, plus horse racing at Newbury. Other things to note We try to be as self-sufficient as possible. We only have electricity, that is provided by our 16 solar panels. We use herbs and apples from our garden and have a large green house that produces all our veg through the summer. We feed a vast amount of wild birds in the garden, lots to see including our rare woodpecker.
