Description
It’s a peaceful, tucked-away spot. Your view includes the front driveway, some natural rock features, a fig tree, tall redwoods, and a barn in the distance. Not a scenic overlook—but definitely a quiet and cozy hideout. The space Please Note: If you're planning a long-term stay, this space may not be ideal for couples, as it can feel a bit small. The unit is located beneath the main house and has its own private entrance. The outer walls are made of cement and stone, giving it a unique and rustic appearance. The space stays naturally cool in the summer and warms up easily in the winter. Kitchen: Basic kitchen setup with a two-burner propane stove and a microwave. There is no oven. Essential kitchen utensils are provided. Bathroom: Equipped with a standing shower. Internet & Connectivity: Due to the concrete walls, the internet receiver is placed outside the door. Internet speeds typically range from 25 Mbps to 50 Mbps. Because we're located in the countryside, we’re always striving to improve connectivity. If you work from home and require consistently high-speed internet, this may not be the best fit. That said, guests usually have no trouble streaming on TVs. Cell phone signal is limited unless you're connected to Wi-Fi. View & Setting: This is a quiet hideaway. The view includes the front driveway, natural rock features, a small fig tree, tall redwood trees on one side, and a distant barn. It’s a peaceful and secluded spot. Guest access Outdoor Space & Extras: Guests are welcome to use the outdoor area in front of their space, which includes a table, chairs, and BBQs—perfect for enjoying meals outside or just relaxing. If you're bringing pets, feel free to walk them around the property. From the entrance gate to the cottage is about 700 feet, with plenty to see along the way. You’ll likely spot goats in their pen, chickens wandering freely, and wild turkeys with their chicks roaming the land. I also have an art studio nearby in the barn. You’re welcome to stop by and take a look at what I’ve been painting lately! Other things to note We want you to feel at home. If you need anything—from a hair dryer to a blender or other small appliances—just ask. We’re happy to bring it over. We like to keep the space clean and simple, with just the essentials, but we’re always nearby if something comes up. A Note on Expectations: Communication is key. I've done my best to describe the space honestly and clearly, but it may not meet everyone’s expectations. If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’ll do our best to help. And if it turns out the space isn’t quite right for you, you're always welcome to shorten your stay and cancel without penalty. Most of our guests are very happy with the experience and find it just what they’re looking for. However, if you're expecting a five-star luxury setup, this may not be the right fit. The cottage is priced to reflect its simplicity, charm, and rural setting.
