Tipi with River Access, The Hip Hawk

The Hip Hawk Tipi is one of 7 unique stays here at Fredrock, a private family owned Glampground. The tipi has 2 queen beds and a large deck for star gazing or drinking your morning coffee. You will have your own private bath house and detached outdoor kitchenette, which includes a charcoal BBQ grill. The Hip Hawk has a firepit to gather around and for roasting marshmallows. There are trails throughout the property that lead to the beautiful, crystal clear, spring fed water of 12 Mile Creek. Other things to note Things to Note and Tips- Tipis are not a sealed environment. With a heavy down pour a few drops of rain could possibly get in. But we have done a pretty darn good job sealing it up! Critters can get into them - including crickets, 8 legged friends, and yes we share this beautiful landscape with snakes, frogs, mosquitoes and turtles. Leave the lights off in your Tipi when you leave. This will reduce the amount of moths and other flying creatures who love the light from visiting your tipi . Our tap water here at the campground comes from a deep artesian well and is very tasty. But feel free to bring your own water if you prefer. You should have cell phone service. We do not provide WiFi, it is a huge challenge here in the country and is hit or miss at its very best. Each tipi has it’s own private bathroom. This is not a shared bathroom. It is yours to use exclusively. Please do not flush baby wipes, feminine wipes or feminine products, our septic system is delicate. Please put ALL wipes, feminine products in your bathroom trash can, NOT the toilet. Thank you in advance! If anything is broken please let us know. We understand things happen - we just need to know so that we can fix it. In the summer months, we have floor fans to help keep you cool. In the winter months we provide electric blankets and a space heater. It should still be thought of as camping. Check the forecast and bring your warm clothes, if needed. We are conveniently located off Hwy 67, which means you will sometimes hear vehicle road noise. There is also all the sounds of nature surrounding the Tipi, so if you are a light sleeper earplugs may be helpful. 1 bundle of Firewood is provided, more available for $5/bundle.
