Rustic and charming country cottage in the heart of Bilpin village. Part of Eden Farm Escape so you can access all the farm stay activities 80m down the road whilst enjoying your own self contained cottage. What the Caretaker’s Cottage lacks in modern minimalism it makes up for in it’s country charm. This original weatherboard cottage has been freshly painted and updated with modern day appliances (new gas stove, fridge, dishwasher). The space The Caretaker’s Cottage is an original freestanding weatherboard dwelling with a private driveway. It is setback from the road and located behind The Grumpy Baker - perfect to pop through the back garden for a morning coffee and croissant. This quaint cottage features two queen bedrooms, a lounge with working fireplace, original bathroom with bath and shower, pretty sunroom with stained glass windows and an eat in kitchen with modern appliances and a breakfast nook. There are nods to country kitsch with lace curtains, mis-matched crockery, original Lino in the bathroom and some creaky floorboards with Nan’s velvet sofa in the lounge, but the mattresses are super comfy and brand new, freshly laundered and starched white bed linen, fluffy white bath sheets and all the little touches that complete your stay - candles, books, ground coffee, tea, sugar, oil, along with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Guest access The entire cottage is yours during your stay with your own access. Other things to note The Caretaker’s Cottage is part of Eden Farm Escape so as guests you have access to the amenities at the farm. Partake in daily animal feeding at 9am, visit our friendly animals, book a horse or pony ride, collect freshly laid eggs from Cluckingham Palace, stroll through the 86 acres, swim in the freshwater dam, join the farm guests for stargazing and toasted marshmallows around the outdoor firepit, take a bush walk at the rear of the property. You will be given a gate remote during your stay which will allow you to access the farm. This is usually kept on the buffet hutch in the sunroom. Simply head down Hanlon’s Road South and you will see white gates on the left at 13 Hanlon’s Road. Use your gate remote to access the farm, turn right as you head through the gates and follow the road all the way to the rear of the property.
