The Larches is 7mins to Holiday Valley and Ellicottville. Our recently built cabin comes fully equipped for you to enjoy time with your family/friends. We actively use this property and rent when we can’t be there. We are interested only in excellent, “leave no trace”, renters who will treat our property with care and respect. It's an awesome spot and we'd like to make sure it stays that way. The space Open concept living space is accentuated with larch post and beam cathedral ceiling. Large windows and living room walk out provide fantastic light and vista of surrounding woods (which looks stunning with fresh snow or the green leaves of spring and summer!). Enjoy spending time together cooking and entertaining in our fully equipped kitchen - whether sitting around the 4-seated island or 6-seated dining table. Amp up the ambience by turning on the see-through gas fireplace. Enjoy the fireplace while curling up to a movie projected onto the wall. There is no cell service or TV service but use the high speed internet to stream Netflix or Amazon Prime. If streaming isn’t your thing you will find board games and a DVD collection to keep you entertained. After a day of trails, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing or antiquing - enjoy a quick dip in the hot tub to reward your tired muscles. The main floor has 2 bedrooms, both with brand new queen beds. The larger of the two rooms has a walkout for early morning hikes or deer watching opportunities. Enjoy the walk-in shower in our main floor bath - equipped with radiant floors to keep your feet warm at all times of day. Retire to the upstairs loft bedroom (also brand new queen) which overlooks the living room and contains its own fireplace, closet and en-suite with a walk-in shower. The heated floor makes for the perfect transition from hot tub to dinner! We absolutely love the remote nature of our cabin and hope others who decide to stay with us will too! Guest access Access is through the mud room door. There is an electronic lock - code will be provided upon booking. Other things to note We arrange for the driveway to be plowed but don’t control when he may plow. There are steps to access both the front and back door. You may need to shovel the stairs if there is any accumulation of snow prior or during your stay. We also provide salt should the stairs freeze. We do allow for pets to stay (it is a great place for well behaved dogs to run!). We do not allow pets on our furniture and would ask that you also respect this (and clean up after your pet!) You will also note that given the remote location we do have cameras on all doors. Typically we turn off our cameras once a guest has arrived but we reserve the right to keep on if we have any concerns related to property misuse. Since this our home is located in the woods we do everything we can to keep rodents and insects to a minimum. Even despite our efforts, you should expect to have some interaction with ants, flies or lady bugs. We ask that all food products are contained to the main living (not in bedrooms) and grease, sweets, food waste are cleaned up immediately to avoid attracting unwanted guests (ie mice - which we manage with an external provider and don’t want problems to arise when there aren’t currently!)
