Extraordinary lakefront home, private lake access! Bring your own boat, or use one of ours! Relax on the screened-in patio while watching lake wildlife. BBQ on our charcoal grill, then enjoy a game of cornhole or SpikeBall near the lakeside firepit. Cast a line for great fishing right out front, or push the boats in the water and explore Birch Lake. After a full day, wind down in the hot tub - which is available for you to enjoy year round! This custom-built 2017 home is constructed almost entirely of reclaimed barn wood! Tons of detail to go along with vast wood ceilings, custom beams and handrails, exceptional tile shower, main level laundry and powder room. There is a master bedroom, full bathroom, and half bath on the main level. The unique and spacious loft upstairs has 2 built-in trundle beds along with a fold-down futon sofa, ideal for larger groups. The fully-stocked kitchen has basically everything you might need to prepare a meal for your group, along with all-new stainless steel appliances. There are 3 Smart TVs (Living room, master, and loft) for streaming your favorite services. A selection of board games and bluetooth speaker system are also available. Hot tub is available for you to enjoy year round. PLEASE NOTE boating & dock information/availability below, and inquire before booking if you have any questions. THE AREA: Birch Lakes/Chetac Chain offers 5 boat-up bars and restaurants! Some feature live music. There are multiple islands throughout the lakes, a nearby sand bar used for volleyball and hanging out, and tons of fishing - even right off the dock! Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. Ice fishing is also possible in winter The town of Birchwood and Birch Lake has great hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, ATVing and snowmobiling, boating, and fishing for tons of fun in any season you visit. Birchwood is also part of the nearby Birkebeiner cross-country ski marathon every February, as well as the Bluegill Fest every July annually. Guests have complete private access to the home, yard, and amenities - other than a few locked storage areas. I am available to assist with any issues or needs, but prefer to allow my guests to enjoy their vacation as much as possible. I have local help in the area in case anything arises. Located on the Chetac chain of lakes, Birchwood has spectacular views, abundant wildlife and plenty of outdoor activities year-round. The town and lake are on the Tuscobia ATV and Snowmobile trail, and hikers enjoy access to the Ice Age Trail. Birchwood is also colloquially known as the Bluegill capital! The Village has almost anything guests could need during a visit. Birchwood’s business district offers a wide variety of goods and services. Golf: Avid and casual golfers alike will enjoy the courses in our area. There are a number of challenging, well-groomed courses located within minutes of the lake. Our area features some of Northern Wisconsin’s finest courses that are also affordable and not crowded. ATV Trails & Rentals: If you want to ride ATVs, Birchwood boasts one of the largest trail systems in the state. The driveway can accommodate trailer parking if you bring your own ATVs, or rentals are available nearby as well. Casinos: There are two casinos located within 45 minutes. Try your luck gaming, or just go for the experience! Festivals: There are often live music or themed festivals in one of the surrounding towns almost every weekend in the summer and fall. You will need a car to enjoy the area. Keep in mind that some local roads, including ours, are dirt or gravel and can get a little slippery in rain or snow conditions. If visiting during winter, an appropriate vehicle and preparation is advised. Please note the following in advance of booking to ensure a successful stay: PARKING DURING HEAVY RAIN/SNOW: - Parking is on a dirt/gravel area, and there is a short couple hundred yards of dirt/gravel loop road to access the property. It is a small hill and curve, but not overly steep. Regular compact vehicles can easily use it most times of the year. However, during heavy rain or snow, it is advised to have an appropriate vehicle with proper clearance, chains, and/or 4WD that can handle the local conditions. We also try to plow it regularly during snow season, but cannot always guarantee. If snow is expected during or around your stay, please use your best judgment and either park along the main road or come adequately prepared. -The driveway is looped for medium-sized towing access and can generally accommodate up to medium-sized RVs or other vehicles with trailers or boats as well. -Dock is seasonal, generally available late March to early October, depending on weather. Between those times it is removed, as the lake is often frozen or in the freezing process. -Non-motorized boats are also provided for seasonal use and generally recommended only when the dock is in place, but can be launched from the shore. Boat use is at your own risk and liability; children should always be accompanied by adults and anyone participating is encouraged to wear a life jacket. -The motorized pontoon boat in the dock photos is for show and scale, will usually be parked when the dock is in, but is not available for guest use. Please note this means there is only 1 dock spot available. There is a local pontoon rental company guests can contact for boat rental and information is provided to all confirmed guests. -Guests should prepare for a cabin-style stay. Most creature comforts are provided, and the town has anything you might need! However, preparation in advance for self-sufficiency is always advised. Inclement seasonal weather, local animals, and occasional bugs are all part of this area and should be expected. Local businesses sometimes close early, so planning ahead is always best.
