Your Adirondack retreat awaits! Enjoy the quiet solitude of the country, complete with views of the Sentinel Mountain Range and a babbling brook that runs right by the house. You are only 20 minutes to Lake Placid, 8 minutes to Whiteface, 15 minutes to the High Peaks and 20 minutes to all Olympic venues. The farm is centrally located for hiking, rock & ice climbing, mountain biking, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, fly fishing, paddling and swimming. This old farmhouse has a open first floor plan that includes a large mudroom, living room, dining area for 6 and a water closet (1/2 bath). The mudroom has plenty of space for your outdoor gear, boots and jackets. The living room has a 50" Roku TV, three couches and two chairs for you to spread out and relax. The galley kitchen is well appointed with a five burner gas stovetop, a large microwave and toaster/convection oven, a 5.2 cu ft. fridge and small drink fridge. There are three bedrooms and one full bathroom on the second floor. The bathroom includes a large soaking tub and shower combo. There is a king bed in the Brookside Bedroom and the North Room, and a queen in the Mountainview Room. Each room has a dresser and there is a small closet in the Mountainview Room. You can hear the brook from the two northern bedrooms and the Mountainview Room has a lovely view of the Sentinel Mountains. IMPORTANT: *There is NO CELL SERVICE at the house. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house, so make sure your set you phones to Wi-Fi calling! *The separate south wing of the house is often owner occupied. This has a separate entrance, so you will not be disturbed. Guest access The front lawn and back yard all the way down to the brook are yours to enjoy! You may see one of the caretakers moving around to fill the birdfeeders or mow or plow, but we will do our best not to disturb you. The Farmhouse has been divided and sealed into two living spaces. The rental has all the downstairs living areas, a new kitchen and three bedrooms upstairs. The small south wing apartment of the house is often owner occupied. The apartment is sealed off and has a separate entrance, so you will not be disturbed. There is one closet for the owner's personal belongings in the rental space. This closet and the basement are locked and obvious. Other things to note IMPORTANT: There is NO CELL SERVICE at the house. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house, so make sure you set your phones to Wi-Fi calling. *Please be aware there are steep steps, unprotected electric outlets, unsecured kitchen utensils/ knives and no child cabinet latches. *The soaking tub is divinely deep for soaking but may difficult to access for those with limited mobility.
