Our beach house is in a prime location of Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Located 0.5 mile from the pier and hustle & bustle of the active town center. Once part of a hotel, it has since been renovated to a 5 bedroom 7 bathroom house with a walk-in elevator, reaching all three floors, game room with wet bar, and most importantly open floor plan encompassing the living room, dining room and kitchen area all surrounded by large windows w/ spectacular views of the never-ending beach and ocean. The property design is unique - unlike any other property in the area. One might expect to see this design in the Caribbean or Palm Beach. The fact that this property is right on the beach makes it stand out from all the rest. Golden sandy beach and blue sea as far as the eye can see! Inside the beach house the open floor plan on the top level makes for a very social experience for family and friends to spend quality time together. Cooking, dining and relaxing all in the same large open area is a fun experience for everyone to enjoy. The game room with its full size pool table and wet bar enhances the social experience. Grand beach views from every room in the house make for the most tranquil of vacations! The rear of the property has been designed as an in-law apartment. 2 bedrooms, 1 & 1/2 bathrooms, having its own living room, dining area, full kitchen and privacy deck. One can walk down the hall from the games room through to the rear in-law apartment. Alternatively you may close this door off and have privacy / separation from your in-laws. lol. So as not to confuse anyone, the entire house comprises of 5 bedroom, 7 bathrooms. The living room furniture and outdoor furniture is all brand new (as of February 2022). Dishware, silverware, glasses, plates, coffee maker (Keurig - makes both a pot as well as individual cups) bedding, linens, towels also brand new. It is our expectation that your experience in our beach front property is comparable to that of a 5 star hotel. My wife grew up the next town over in Saco. We have a family of 4 children who have been fortunate enough to spend their summers on this beautiful, relaxing & family friendly beach! We frequently travel to Old Orchard Beach, year round! We are blessed to have this beach front property. We are happy to to share it with good people, who want to relax / wind down and enjoy our property and its' breathtaking ocean view. Guests have access to the entire house - including, the rear, in-law apartment section of the house, the indoor elevator, games room / pool table, wet bar, etc. and all balconies. My wife grew up in this area and spent her summers on Old Orchard Beach. Having travelled extensively around Europe & Asia and stayed at many beautiful beaches & resorts our family prefer to spend our leisure / vacation time not losing 1-2 days of travel / flying time, not losing additional vacation time due to jet lag, not losing our bags, not eating foreign / unrecognizable foods and getting food poisoning, or diarrhea, not trying to communicate in very foreign languages and hoping not to get ripped off or robbed of our passports, luggage and wallets. Old Orchard Beach, Maine is a great place to visit in all seasons - though the summer season is its' hottest! Canadians have been driving down to Old Orchard Beach to vacation on these beaches for over 100 years. West Coasters leave the grimy, polluted Pacific Ocean for cleaner and yes cooler waters of the Atlantic, while many Floridians choose to have a second home up here and reside in Old Orchard Beach from May to October! There is just so much to do and see in and around Old Orchard Beach. From visiting the local theme parks, Palace Playland (0.5 miles), Funtown/Splashtown (1.5 miles), and Aquaboggan (1.75 miles), to experiencing the various dining establishments. For fine dining we highly recommend jumping in the car and driving 15-20 minutes up the road to Portland. The best lobster in our minds you get at Baileys Seafood restaurant, eat in or take out. And for breakfast we just love Jay Jay's, next to the Pier - inside and or patio dining. It is extremely family friendly, the staff are ever so friendly, and the food, coming from a picky food-eater, is great! Feel free to text or call me if you need any additional recommendations. For Bostonians, it is fun to take the Down Easter train right into downtown Old Orchard Beach. It is no more than a 2 hour train ride if my memory serves me correctly! If you are travelling from overseas or from outside of New England it is nice to know that you can easily do a day trip or overnight into Boston and experience a ball game, concert, shop on Newbury Ave or walk along the Esplanade, along the river. Boston is only between 1 1/2 hours and 2 hour drive, most days. Frequently asked questions: Where are the bedrooms & bathrooms located? 1) There are 3 bedrooms located on the 2nd floor. The master bedroom is located on the 2nd floor facing the ocean, of course. It has a large, private deck with two sun beds and two comfortable chairs. Inside you will find a King size bed along with a chaise lounge chair that opens up into a twin bed. In the corner of the room next to this chair you will find an armoir. Hidden inside is a TV. There is a large set of drawers and an AC/heating unit attached to the wall. Large wrap around windows with the most splendid ocean view! If you’re not a fan of the sunrise feel free to gently pull the blinds down. You will find a large walk-in closet to store your suitcases and unpack your clothes that need hanging up. Additional blankets may be found here. Across from the closet is the exquisite granite stone, ensuite bathroom. You will find a large, jacuzzi bathtub, glass, walk-in shower with a one-inch lip. It also has a TV. If you hear the door bell ring you will find a phone with a video screen attached so you can see who is at the door. 2) Just outside the ensuite master bedroom is bedroom number two, a large bedroom with its' own closet king size bed and TV. Just across from this bedroom is a full size bathroom. Adjacent to the bathroom is the laundry room where you will find a monstrously large washer & dryer. Purchased in Dec 2021. 3) Walk down the hall past the staircase and you will find bedroom number 3. A King size bed with 2 large closet, TV and its' own ensuite bathroom. 4& 5) Bedrooms 4 & 5 are located on the 3rd floor just down the hallway from the games room where the pool table & TV are located. There are 2 sets of doors that can be closed off to seperate the rear section of the property. We call this the in-law apartment. Bedroom 4 is on the right hand side. It has a King size bed, large closet & TV. And a nice view of the ocean! Bedroom 5 is at the end of this hallway. It has two King size beds, TV & large closet, and a seaview. These two bedrooms share a full size bathroom. Walk down the rear staircase and you will arrive in the "in-law" living room area, kitchen, dining area and 1/2 bathroom. There is a washer & dryer in this bathroom. The busiest bathroom in the entire property is the 1/2 bathroom located in the hallway in between the living room and the games room with the pool table. This is the bathroom that has the black sink and toilet. There is another 1/2 bathroom next to the pool table. The living room furniture and outdoor furniture is all brand new (as of February 2022). The elevator! You don't need to use the elevator as the beautiful staircase is wide and not very steep at all. However, when bringing in luggage, groceries or for guests with injuries or may be handicapped the elevator is awesome! An incredible bonus to this very impressive house.
