Silver Lake Retreat, walk to Semi-Private Beach

Enjoy a year round relaxing stay at our peaceful Silver Lake retreat. Our cottage is centrally located within the Mount Washington Valley in Madison, NH within 200 ft of a beautiful sandy semi-private association beach. Within 25 minutes you have access to all the dining, shopping and activities (tubing the Saco, exploring the Kancamagus Highway, hiking and skiing at Cranmore Mountain) that North Conway has to offer. King Pine, Attitash and Wildcat Mountains are also all within 15-50 minutes. The space Our home is a peaceful, cozy retreat where you can slow down and escape from the realities of your busy daily schedule. When you step inside our home you will notice a sense of calm. You will enter and can put jackets, shoes and outdoor gear in the hall closet. There also are additional hooks for jackets, bags and keys. To your right you will see the great room with cathedral ceilings, a large smart tv with cable, two couches (one is a pull out bed), and two comfortable swivel chairs. A large storage seat also holds throw blankets and games. This room also has a mini split system that heats and cools the home. Directly in front of you, there is a slider that opens to a screened in, three season room with skylights, a ceiling fan, additional seating, a propane heating table and a queen size bed that allows for guests to experience a restful night’s sleep while listening to loons call and gazing at the stars. Outside the three season room is a large deck area with gas grill. Once back inside on the main floor you will find the kitchen equipped with a Keurig, dishwasher, refrigerator and electric stove. We have also provided basic cookware, dishes and utensils for your convenience. A full bathroom is located next to the kitchen. Next to the bathroom are two main floor bedrooms. The first has a king size bed and the second has a queen size bed and a twin loft bed. On the main floor you will also find a woodstove for use on chilly days and a beautiful window seat. The open staircase leads to the second floor which houses a cozy half bathroom and two additional bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen size bed and sunrise views when the lake is visible in the winter and early spring before the leaves come in. The other bedroom has a twin size trundle bed, desk for work if needed and a screen. The basement level of the house has a full washer and dryer as well as a pool table and air hockey table. For guests with electric or hybrid vehicles a type 2 EV charger is available upon request for an extra fee. Our goal is to make our guests as comfortable as possible to allow a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Other things to note Our home is within a walk or short drive to Ossipee Pine Barrens Preserve which offers 7.5 miles of walking trails that can also be used for cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Snowmobile trails are within a few minute drive. The beach is a few steps away and is a beautiful place to sip coffee and watch the sunrise.
