Lyttel BOS Studio

Welcome to our beautiful architecturally designed BOS Studio. Interior cork flooring and walls, recycled timber, floor to ceiling windows, along with watercolour drawings, retro & modern furniture, and new appliances, give it a unique vibe. You will have all you need to hunker in for a cosy relaxed couple of days, or use as a base to explore Lyttelton, Christchurch, Diamond Harbour and Banks Peninsula. Sit back and enjoy, surrounded by a tranquil garden and views out over the working port. The space The space is airy and light filled. The kitchen, dining and living are open plan with two comfy chairs. The bedroom is spacious with a king bed. There is a separate doorless bathroom. The space is compact and has everything you need. Wooden blinds can be dropped over the big glass views to block out sun/heat. There are floor fans for cooling in summer and a fire in winter. The studio is perhaps best suited to a couple or a single guest. There are no doors between rooms - the bathroom and bedroom lead off a small hallway. A light bamboo curtain is over the bedroom door. Eco necessities are supplied such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry powder and kitchen staples. Outside there is a large deck with tables and chairs. Seasonal herbs and vegetables are available in the gardens. In the height of summer, we recommend dropping the blinds and opening the windows before leaving to go out for the day, to stem the heat. Guest access Entire space private. There are 46 steps down from the road to the studio. Your phone light is recommended to light the way. Please take this into consideration when booking, in the event you have health, fitness or movement issues. Other things to note A small private chapel has been erected beside the studio. You are welcome to visit this during your stay. The fireplace is available for use in colder months.
