Description
We are excited to welcome you to our listing , our beautiful "Sunrise"chalet. Sunrise is set on an organic coastal eco-village property with stunning views over the ocean. We have private swimming and kayaking off the land (tidal) . Peaceful and private, this is the perfect retreat to enjoy the myriad of birdlife and ever-changing ocean/estuary views. We are centrally located in sub-tropical Golden bay only 5 minutes from Takaka village and another minute to rock-climbing and river holes. The space This 10m2 cottage is made of untreated cedar and oiled with natural oils so not only is it non-toxic but it smells divine! Set in a garden with a private lawn the sensational view overlooks the estuary and ocean towards Taupo Point. Because we want to enhance the connection to nature, our bathroom and kitchen are 20 metres away from the cabin, thereby providing an opportunity to enjoy the moon and starlight! We are proud of our all season bathroom and because we believe in conserving our precious water we have built a COMPOST toilet which is 25 metres from the chalet .So please be aware this is not a flush toilet! If you do not like compost toilets “First Light” accommodation is not for you. The latex and organic cotton queen bed is in the loft and is accessed by an easy LADDER (so pls be aware a certain amount of mobility is required!) We have another accommodation further down from Sunrise so there will be a car driving past occasionally. Guest access Optional extras are kayaks and private yoga classes. Other things to note The cottage is designed for 2.
